“Good onsen hotel”
We really enjoyed our 4 nights, in a beautifully appointed room. The onsen was excellent. The area around the hotel is great if you love to hike in the forest. We went up the rope way but unfortunately the weather was not conducive to walking. This place must be magic in the winter for the snow … more

“Excellent hotel at the foot of Mt. Asahidake”
Stunning room in the best location for climbing Mt. Asahidake. In winter it must be even better. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the food varied and really good. The onsen baths were very good as well. I could have easily stayed a week and not gotten bored.

There are not a lot o… more

Although we stayed only 1 night, this is a good hotel to visit if you’re looking for something that is surrounded by nature, super quiet and looking to do some hiking. The Hotel: Very large and very resort like. Having look… more

“Great access to the national park”
This little spa town is one of the few access points for the national park, and probably with the best day hike. If you want to stay locally, this hotel is perfectly located (beware of onsen hotels near Hagoromo falls - it's been partially abandoned in a post-apocalyptic way). The stylish and comf… more
