Like more Japanese rooms this one was also very small but efficient. Not much place to put your suitcase/backpack but ok. We didn’t try the breakfast so I can’t say anything about that. Very helpful staff at the reception. Although their English was not that good they did their best to help us. Supermarket around the corner, train station within 5 minutes walking.

Comfort Hotel Kitami - is a business hotel. Typically the rooms are small and so are the beds by north American standards with TV, fridge, desk, phone, as for the private bathroom extremely small 3 piece. The water is safe to drink from the tap. A little tight for a couple unless they are very close and you plan to use the room strictly for sleeping. The staff is very helpful and accommodating though their English may be limited. Check-in: 15:00 Check-out: 10:00. There is a limited time promotion at the hotel for a free bottle of water at time of check-in for each guest. Free internet is available in each room, and there is a computer available for use in the main lobby. The included simple buffet breakfast is acceptable, though it may not necessarily be conducive to everyone. Typical offering would be scrambled eggs or German potatoes, sausage, good assortment of breads including toast, cereal, yogurt, simple salad, rice balls, coffee, tea, orange juice, miso soup and soup of the day. On weekends the best time for breakfast is at 6:30 as the dining area can become crowded, and during the week after 08:00 by then most of the business will have left. Breakfast Hours: 06:30 - 09:30. There is no fitness center in this hotel, and to date we have not encountered one within the Comfort Hotel chain. The rooms at this Comfort Hotel are slightly larger than that of the other hotels within the chain especially when comparing the rooms to Comfort Hotel Tokyo and Gifu. An easy 5 minute walk to the JR Station and a 10 minute walk to many restaurants. Would I return: Yes Value: compared to other hotels in the area quite reasonable

Drawbacks: arrive early if you drive as the car park space is limited (although they allow you to park in another building across the street if their car park is full). Also, the hotel doesn't have any common "big" onsen bath (which is maybe why it's priced cheaper).

“Reasonable and clean”

Although the room we stayed was a little bit small, it was clean and functionally equipped. The breakfast was very good. Tips: The parking lot is not enough for the number of rooms. When it is full, ask the front guys and you can use another parking near the hotel.
