“Nice business hotel”

Good value hotel, nice breakfast, the only quibble I had was it did not have a gym as such. No treadmill , outside was hard packed snow making it impossible to run outside. It did though have a sauna/hot pool. Room pleasant enough and ate in a nice restaurant about 50m away

We stayed only one night as it is near Noboribetsu. The rate is much lower than hotels in Noboribetsu. The hotel is new so all amenities are new. It is obviously a business hotel as we saw a lot of businessmen checking in at night. The room is really small. If you have two big luggages, there is no room to walk. Bed is extremely comfortable and there is a small area with a small couch and table so that you can set up your laptop to work. Free coffee is available in the lobby and their onsen is really good. It is not big but it has a hot and cold bath and a sauna as well. For ladies, there is an added security entering the onsen as you are given a code to enter. The changing room is well done and quite luxurious. Parking is free. There are not a lot of restaurants that are within walking distance. You will need to drive out. Service from staff is really good. One of my friend had trouble with the wifi and the staff was trying to help her out despite not being able to speak English fluently.

I stayed in this hotel mostly because I was driving and this is like an "American style" hotel, with ground level parking all around the building. Parking is free, though you need to use the validation machine next to the front desk every time you go out. It's also (barely) walkable from Higashi-Muroran train station. The hotel itself was fairly new, though not upscale. The staff was pretty nice. The laundry machine was free for guests to use, and it didn't need laundry detergents. There was a public bath at the first floor using hot spring water. Many people would probably stay in this hotel because of that. The room was slightly small and basic. The "Grand" in the hotel's name suggests this is a higher end property in the franchise. I could see the interior was new, but it still felt cheap. The bed was not super comfortable, and the curtain did not block the light very well. The AC was very weak and I was never able to get the room to fully cool down. On the plus side, the table in front of the sofa had the right height for a laptop. Plus the price was cheap, especially considering that I got free parking and (in this case) free breakfast. The breakfast is free if you book from their website or hit a promotion price (which I did). It was pretty good for a free breakfast. But if you need to pay for it, I don't think it would worth it (also note that breakfast ends at 9). If you are not driving, beware that there aren't lots of places to eat nearby as the hotel is located in a suburb. Overall I think this hotel suites people who are driving and just need a place to sleep. Light sleepers may not appreciate the place so much.
