“Ok in town”

The hotel are located in town, near minimart , room are ok, A lot customer but Onsen Quite small, Breakfast and dinner are ok not too much , all infrastructure are suitable for family with good prices.

Travelled via a number of other (nicer) Yukai resort hotels to get to the Awazu Grand Hotel.On arrival my first impression was one of disappointment. An old property on the main street of a sleepy hot spring resort. The room was a good size but there is no bathroom - only a toilet and sink...and there is no view from the room in this property(my room looked onto the car park and the surrounding houses). Also the room had a lingering smell of smoke...there are no non-smoking rooms it seems. All in all I would say that this property has seen better days - the communal areas are adequate but the carpets in the corridors are stained and worn and everything seemed a little drab. The good points are: 1. You can use the hot spring facilities in both the Awazu Grand and the Annexe - a 1 minute walk across the street. This seems like a good idea...but it depends how you feel about crossing the road wearing your yukata and geta..especially when the weather is not so good or in the early hours of the morning. 2. The Awazu Grand was not busy when I stayed so there was no queuing time for dinner and breakfast. The choice of food offered is simple but adequate if you are looking to sample Japanese foods and looking for a Japanese hot spring experience at a very reasonable cost. The free drink plan for 1500 yen included Spanish wine and ham when I stayed and this was very satisfactory. 3. The Yukai Resort hotels offer a free shuttle between its properties in this area so if you wish to see another hot spring area it is easy to do so. 4. The return shuttle service offered from Nagoya is excellent value for money (but this includes a 1 hour lunch stop which is too long as it makes the journey about 5 hours!) All in all good value for money...but I would choose to stay at the Annexe next time as the outdoor bath was nicer than the big bath at the Awazu Grand..and if you want to take a bath late at night or early in the morning it's easier to be in the same building. Also the communal areas in the Annexe seemed newer and more welcoming. These resorts are not English friendly. Nothing was written in English and no one could explain anything in English..so I would only suggest staying here if you have basic Japanese skills and know how the system works!

When we pulled up, I immediately said, "this place looks like a school." It's institutional exterior, and the ratty carpet in the dimly-lit, bare corridors, make this feel like anything but a "grand resort". However, these are the only negative points. The rooms are quiet, clean, and fairly spacious, especially for the price, and the onsen--which is really the only reason to come to a place like this, after all--is outstanding, especially in the building separate from the main hotel, called the "bekkan" (別館). Another plus is the food. The stay came with a dinner and breakfast buffet, both of which were quite tasty and filling. It's not gourmet, of course, but then you wouldn't be expecting that for this price, would you? In all, for any other non-Japanese speaking travelers that come here, I would recommend this if you're looking for a nice, budget hotel in this part of Ishikawa. All the info at the hotel is in Japanese, though, so you will need to practice your pointing skills if they aren't already up-to-speed.
