Zuisenkyo offers the ryokan/onsen experience at a bargain price. Beautiful rural location, set in spacious, attractive grounds, with pathways along a wooded gorge. “Average food, but great room and wonderful hot spring”
Service was great. Food was nothing particularly unique or spectacular, but it was average kaiseki. Very good quality, with no special ingredients to speak of. The best feature is the onsen. This onsen hotel is in the middle of nowhere. it's about a 30-minute drive from Ichinoseki train station or the UNESCO World Heritage temples of Hiraizumi.
