I stayed at this hotel in early December for one night and enjoyed sand bath with fee, an accommodation package with Japanese style dinner in individual room and Japanese style breakfast in their restaurant. My room go east facing balcony with superb seaview. It was memorable when I saw the sunrise in the morning. The fixtures and fittings in the hotel is a bit old and wifi is not covered inside room. The hot spring is also with seaview and east facing.

“Kyushu 2019”

Stayed one night at Ibusuki Seaside Restaurant in Kagoshima. Here we experienced black sand sauna where we lie on ground and was buried in black sand leaving only our heads exposed at 45’C for 10mins. Then we washed and got into hot onsen. We sleep on traditional tatami floor in spacious room.

We spent a night here recently. We arrived too late for the sand bath. The onsen has no outdoor bath though the indoor bath does the trick. We had dinner and breakfast. Food is ok but not great. We spent a night here recently. We arrived too late for the sand bath. The onsen has no outdoor bath though the indoor bath does the trick. We had dinner and breakfast. Food is ok but not great. Service of the lobby staff and the restaurant staff is not bad though. The hotel lobby has a 70s look. The hotel could do with some refurbishments. The best thing about our night there was the nice, comfortable and spacious Japanese room. Instead of one small bath and toilet rolled into one (which is what we often see in other hotels), there is a toilet, a spacious bathroom, as well as a spacious area where the wash basin was located, almost like a small room itself. The view from the usual balcony/window side sitting room was good. Rather shockingly, internet was only available in the lobby/ground floor which is probably not acceptable for a hotel of this size these days and reminded me of small Japanese hotels 10 years ago.

Stayed 1 night. Decor is 70s. Simple onsen. Spacious rooms but oddly, sink located outside bathroom. No wifi. Set dinner was a disaster. Captain said it was sukiyaki but there was no sauce in the pot so the food became teppanyaki! Fortunately captain replaced that dish cheerfully and quickly. Gr… more

Seemingly outdated, targeting big tour groups with old-fashioned Showa taste accommodation. Staff is friendly and supportive, however, prepare that the hardware is old, anti-barrier-free hotel. As we booked "city-view with two meals" style, cost performance is good enough - approx 14K yen for two pax in the middle of holiday period of golden week.shower toilet installed in the room. They have a big bath with good view facing the ocean, but no open air bath, which is unfortunate. Beverage vending machines and ping pong courts are available at the basement. Sand bath is chargeable at 1080yen, worthwhile as you are in Ibusuki. Photo is offered at 900yen by the staff which we didn't ask for. Overall enjoyable, but don't expect modernity here.
