The hotel has a magnificent view the Sakurajima volcano directly from your room. There is a free shuttle bus to the Shinkansen station and gets within two blocks of the port facilities to take the ferry to Sakurajima. “A MEMORABLE STAY IN KAGOSHIMA.”
Great stay at the Kagoshima Sun Royal Hotel. Hotel shuttle from Chuo station is reliable and on time. Check in was easy. Breakfast buffet was a ample mix of Asian and Western. The onsite Japanese onsen is great after a days sightseeing. Thanks to all the staff for making our stay memorable.

This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in our 2 weeks Kyushu trip. Superb service & friendly staff who made our trip so memorable. “Nice place to stay, great bar.”
The room was big, quiet, clean and nice, about all you can ask for. The bar up top is a great place to kick back and relax. Decent breakfast with lots of options. It wasn't to close to the downtown but they always had a cab waiting out front so if you prefer to get around that way (I sure do) it ma… more

To get to Kagoshima Sun Royal Hotel from the airport, I took an airport shuttle bus to Kagoshima-Chuo Station (buses run every 15 minutes and costs ¥1250). Then from the station I took the free shuttle bus to the hotel. Note the free shuttle bus runs about every hour but there is about a 2 hours … more
