1) Left luggage and had lunch. When came back at 3 pm to check in, they had moved luggage to the room 2) at least one hotel clerk speaks English 3) room American size or larger: had 2 twin beds 4) had bathtub, toilet separate from shower and sink, high tech toilet/bidet combo and seat heated, had rain shower and wand shower 5) room had view of river 6) room had air filter or humidifier machine (all buttons were in Japanese) 7) beds comfy, had two kinds of pillow: regular and buckwheat husk (?) 8) side of bed frame had another electrical outlet 9) had frig and safe and tea pot to make hot water 10) TV enables you to log into streaming services (Netflix, Prime Video, Disney) with your own passwords. When TV turned off, passwords erased 11) provides Japanese style pajamas and slippers 12) can buy breakfast at great buffet with omelet station 13) laundromat with combo washer dryer which already has detergent. 600 yen for 120 min. For 100 yen, can add 30 more min of drying 14) near 2 subway stops, restaurants, an organic supermarket and covered shopping streets Cons: 1) closet, waste baskets, bedstands tiny 2) fresh towels every day. housekeeping every other day. You leave trash by door on non housekeeping days, 3) TV remote and TV channels in Japanese. Had to remember where buttons were on home remote to figure out hoe to work the remote. Eventually changed language to English on youtube and able to watch U.S. news 4) accidentally turned off the thermostat and it got too warm one night 5) printed out breakfast tickets for each day. “Even nicer than expected”

Really nice hotel, and we got it at a surprisingly good price. Not sure if it was luck or if there's a glut of hotels in Kyoto at non-cherry blossom and fall color time. Really nice hotel, and we got it at a surprisingly good price. Not sure if it was luck or if there's a glut of hotels in Kyoto at non-cherry blossom and fall color time. Good location near a couple of different transit lines and many bars/restaurants. Also should note that our "double" room was actually a king bed.

“Enjoyable”

A cute hotel in a good location. Many cafes and restaurants outside. Our room #009 was in the basement buy it was very clean with lovely bathroom. The room size of the hotel was ok…There is a public bath and vending machines in the basement with microwave as well. The staff are friendly but this hotel doesn’t have 24/7 reception but there are machines for self check in / check out. We shipped our luggage from Osaka to this hotel in Kyoto and when we arrived we found our bags in our room waiting for us. Thank you all at Solaria Nishitetsu hotel. You made our stay enjoyable.

“Good hotel at a nice location”

Good hotel close to the subway, river area and shopping/dining areas. The room was not so large, but with a good bed and a great shower. Very good breakfast buffet with a lot of choice. Supportive and friendly staff. Nice place to discover Kyoto
