Hakuba royal hotel is a great value all rounder hotel in the centre of Hakuba. It has free shuttles to all the ski areas and is walking distance from all the authentic Japanese restaurants. “Affordable mountain access but far from restaurants”
Stayed here for a ski trip. The place is pretty nice for a budget hotel. The rooms are western/Japanese combos. Sparse but sufficient. They turn the heat off during the day which was a surprise.
