“Good value, Good location, Convenient”
Suwa city, an old city transformed into modern city. A good place to relax,! out of bustling Shinjuku, a 2 hr train ride. The hotel is few minutes walk from the station, and few minutes to Lake Suwa. A walk around the lake is a must, about 16 km perimeter

“Plenty to see and do in Suwa”
The hotel is tired and could do with a total refurbishment but the room was clean and comfortable. The staff were exemplary and couldn't have been more helpful. Little English is spoken in Kamisuwa but with the help of Google translate, I managed to get by. A brilliant breakfast was served each mor… more

“Average hotel”
This hotel is pretty basic and would be the equivalent of a Travelodge. Breakfast is provided between 6 and 9.30 but their are no restaurant facilities or bar here. “This photo is not actually the hotel - it is the museum across the road.”
The hotel is a standard 3 star hotel. There is nothing exceptional about the hotel. The staff are pleasant. There is a breakfast available albeit a little strange. The lake is a 2minute walk and there are restaurants about ten minutes away. Not much in the direct vicinity.
