“Lovely mix of traditional and modern with beautiful views.”
The hotel is well situated not far from the station and buses so also not expensive for a taxi. It is set on the river with lovely views, peaceful feeling. “Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!”

“Dinner in House Boat”
As a midpoint stop when travelling from Aso to Fukuoka, we stayed at Hita for one night. Kizantei is one of the traditional hotels near Mikuwagama with the spectacular view and onsen. “Excellent ryokan within an hour of Fukuoka city”
We were pleasantly surprise at the value we found at this ryokan. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the Japanese style room very comfortable. “Modern, but Japanese.”
The hotel is a nice mix of modern features (individual bathrooms) and Japanese style room with tatami mats, futon, etc. Very peacefully located on the Mikuma River. Onsen located on the 8th floor offer indoor and outdoor pools.
