“Nice ryokan”
This is the first time we visited traditional Ryokan. Hotaru is about 10 minutes drive from Yufuin station. You can call them for a pick up shuttle service. We stayed in a room with own private onsen. They do have two outdoor public private onsen, if your room doesn't come with one, you can go … more

“amazing place”
wonderful reception ,food, room, onsen, view of mountain, relaxing , great experience. i recommend everyone to come ton this specific onsen. we were picked up from the train station and when we finished our stay' were brought back to the stain. i was amazed that we did not have a shower in the room… more

“Paradise !”
My first time for Japan. Yufu No Oyado Hotaru give me unforgettable experience, peacefully location, superb food and very very nice and helpful staff. Private open air onzen with breath-taking view of Mt. Yufu is Epic ! I can't wait for comeback again.
