Knowing that you are staying at a Japanese hotel, you need to expect the room to be small compared to US standards. While compact in nature, you'll find everything you need from a refrigerator, hot water pot, slippers, toiletries, and the Japanese Toto toilet. In Japan you often pay for the room based on the number of guests in the room. My traveling companion and I decided to each get our own room instead of sharing a double room for the same price. Our rate included breakfast which we took full advantage of. There breakfast buffet was extensive with a few western items. We loved the Japanese items! There is also an onsen which was nice to use after a long day of walking and touring the area. The hotel is on a subway line that will get you anywhere you want in Osaka. It is also walking distance to the Osaka Castle which was great to view the sakura which were in bloom. My only complaint was the room temperature. It was an unusually warm April and just the heat was on. The vent just blew out hot air. The a/c is turned on later in the season. We had a great rate and should I need to be back in Osaka, will definitely consider the APA again.

“Good hotel accommodation for business trip”

Stayed in this hotels for 6 nights with friends for Sakura Season. Overall ok but the check in was pretty slow as language is a real problem. We check in close to midnight and there are three staff present but only one staff is checking in 14 persons. Not a Leisure hotel and more suited for busines… more

Stayed in this hotels for 6 nights with friends for Sakura Season. Overall ok but the check in was pretty slow as language is a real problem. We check in close to midnight and there are three staff present but only one staff is checking in 14 persons. Not a Leisure hotel and more suited for business trip. Close to subway which is very convenient and breakfast is acceptable but get very busy with people during peak periods.

The hotel was clean and well situated. The rooms though were small and so were the bathrooms. There was a great problem at the reception. The staff had very little experience and although they tried to be helpful they could hardly understand two simple words of English. It is absolutely unacceptable to work in hotels and be unable to speak English and to communicate with clients. The only person speaking English was the head of the reception team and she tried very hard to attend to the client’s needs but obviously she could not do everything by herself.

I once stayed in an APA hotel in Roppongi and I could testify that their double bed room barely fits two persons. You will be literally rubbing elbows and knees when you try to walk around. I wonder if this is the definition of a standard Japanese budget hotel room which is by the way not so budget… more

I once stayed in an APA hotel in Roppongi and I could testify that their double bed room barely fits two persons. You will be literally rubbing elbows and knees when you try to walk around. I wonder if this is the definition of a standard Japanese budget hotel room which is by the way not so budget friendly because our 3 nights stay cost us around 45600 yen (15200 yen/137 usd per night including breakfast). I remember when I stayed in APA roppongi it cost me far less maybe because its golden week. Most hotels are already fully booked and this is the cheapest i could find and should have tried the cheaper airbnb option. They only serve bottled water starting on your second day but there are nearby conbini and vendo machine or the potable faucet water as they suggest. The bathroom stinks of urine and there was no deodorizer feels like the urine dried on the wooden bathroom floor. They will give you free ready made curry souvenir original recipe by the owner per stay. I think she likes curry and wants to advocate her original recipe :) The location is in front of the subway station and walking distance to osaka castle and they have radium spa/onsen. The breakfast buffet choices is always the same every morning.
