Spent couple days here which I want to try new hotel. First time to stay at Canopy branding. Very nice & colorful decoration. The room was so nice on high floor. Bedding so somfy. Breakfast was so many local choices of japanese food to try. What I love most was fitness facilities. Treadmill with Osaka city view is memorable. Will stay here for next Osaka visit. Thanks to Seina & Yui who took care us so well during stay.

“Comfortable with Good location”

This hotel boasts a very good location. The room is comfortable, clean, and with a perfect size. The shower has good water pressure, and the bed is comfortable as well. Breakfast is also satisfying. Overall, we had a wonderful stay, and we believe we will return with our kids in the future.

During our recent holiday to Japan in Feb 2026, we had the pleasure of staying at the excellent Canopy Hilton Osaka Umeda twice for three nights and six nights respectively. This establishment, which opened on September 2024, boasts all the contemporary amenities one anticipates from a Hilton property. For our first three-night stay, the room came with a bottle of sake and some Cheese-In Kakitane snack, but no doggy amenities. For our second six-night stay, we were given the doggy amenities, but no sake and cheese snacks. Wonder why there is some inconsistency even though we paid the same price for the same exact room. Anyway, the hotel's proximity to Osaka City is quite convenient, as most points of interest are easily accessible, with Osaka Station, Yodobashi Camera and other major malls being within walking distance. The corner-suite comes with two 55" Smart TV which you can sign-in to watch your Netflix or Youtube videos. However, I would have preferred if they allow the TV to swivel so that I can attach my HDMI cable to watch my own movies from my tablet, laptop or phone. While the in-room dining menu is currently rather limited, we are hopeful they will add more dishes and options to the menu. We wanted to order room service as we can't bring out dog to the restaurant, but their in-room dining options are really limited. We booked the corner suite and were awed by the view. It provides a truly panoramic and breathtaking vista of the city and Umeda Sky especially in the golden and blue hour when the buildings are lit up. We certainly plan to stay at this hotel again if we come back to Osaka, mainly because Sena and her colleagues are so welcoming towards our little doggy. Our only suggestion for improvement would be to expand the in-room dining menu, as we found ourselves needing to order from Uber Eats due to the current limited selections.

Loved this hotel! Beautiful views of the ultra modern Umeda area through full glass windows. Room was good sized by Japan standards, modern design, and very comfortable. Location was excellent: connected to Osaka station by bridges/buildings. Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 for a couple of reasons. I emailed ahead to ask best way to get there from shinkansen. I was told "it's a short walk from the train station." Used my phone, which was confused inside the station so I ended up going out on the street and walking around. If they had told me to take the pedestrian bridge to Grand Front Osaka and then follow the walkway onto a second bridge to Grand Green, that would have been helpful. So easy once you know...even a simple standard diagram to send out to guests who have reservations. Also, we had a special deal with Amex for early check in and room upgrade upon arrival. When we arrived the front desk said we couldn't check in early unless we upgraded, showed us a fabulous room, and then wanted to upcharge us. I was so confused. Finally they gave. us a room that was the same as what I booked but on a lower floor. We did get to check in early. We had one more issue. We had a $100 credit, so after a long day sightseeing we headed back to eat at their restaurant. It was closed! Luckily we found a cool "Umekita floor" in the Grand Front Osaka: a cluster of all different types of restaurants and tables with skyscraper views. You order on an ipad from any of the restaurants and they deliver it to your table. We had excellent sushi from one place, Japanese beef from another, and beer from a brewery! Breakfast was excellent at this hotel, both Japanese and American style, but so popular that sometimes you had to wait in line quite a while. We arrived shortly after opening the second day and many things already needed replenishing, which luckily happened after a brief wait.
