“European-themed Hotel, somewhat outdated but an acceptable stay”

This was the second hotel we stayed in Osaka during our recent trip. We stayed here for a total of five nights. The hotel is ideally situated, just a 5 to 7-minute walk from the JR Osaka West Gate and Sakurabashi Gate, respectively. Additionally, the Herbis Bus Terminal is also roughly an 8-minute walk away, directly across the street. The hotel featured a European-inspired architectural style and design. It appeared somewhat old-fashioned and is currently undergoing renovations; during our stay, certain areas of the hotel were cordoned off for repairs, cleaning, and painting. The lobby was located on the 8th floor while our accommodation was on the 12th floor. The room was deemed "spacious" by Japanese standards, although it was somewhat outdated in terms of furniture and wall decorations. The beds, however, were comfortable, allowing us to rest well. Unfortunately, the TV channels were quite limited, consisting mainly of local stations with no international options. Housekeeping was performed efficiently and professionally, with used items replaced as needed. Bottles of mineral water and tea sachets were also restocked, but there was no coffee provided. Moreover, there wasn't an ice machine on every floor, which is common in many hotels; we had to request ice from the reception, but the service was swift and the staff were accommodating. We didn’t experience the breakfast at the café located on the 14th floor (as our friends took us out for day trips with breakfast included), but we found out that for walk-in guests, the price was 3,800 yen per adult, which seemed rather expensive. Overall, our stay here was satisfactory despite some minor inconveniences due to the ongoing renovation work.

There was the 2nd hotel we stayed in Osaka in our recent trip. We stayed here for 5 nights. The hotel is conveniently located within 5 and 7mins walk from JR Osaka West Gate and Sakurabashi Gate respectively. In addition, Herbis Bus Terminal is also about 8mins walk, opposite the road. The hotel had an European-themed architectural and design. It looked dated and is currently under renovation and facelift as during our stay, parts of the hotel area was blocked off for repair, washing and painting work to be conducted. The lobby was on the 8th floor and our room was on the 12th floor. The room was considered "spacious" in Japanese standard, and it was dated with the furniture and wall decor. The beds were comfortable though and we rested well. But the TV channels were quite limited, and all were local with no international channels. Room service was done well and professionally, and the used items were replenished. Bottles of mineral water and tea sachets were replenished too but no coffee. And there was no ice machine on every floor like most hotels do, we had to call the reception to have the ice delivered to our room. But the service was prompt and staff was helpful. We didn't try the breakfast at the cafe on the 14th floor (as our friends brought us out for day trips with breakfast) but we learnt that for walk-in, it would cost 3800yen per adult, quite pricey. Generally, our stay here was satisfactory despite some inconveniences from the ongoing renovation work.

“old fashioned classical hotel”

Less than 10min walk from Osaka Umeda Station. Nice old fashioned and classical mood in the building. Room itself was small but very cozy. 2 bottles of minetal water was set up.
