“Beauttiful setting, relaxing rotenburo, wonderful hosts”
I stayed here for a weekend in November. The hosts were super friendly and accommodating- when I could not arrive until after 8 the day I checked in, they saved the kaiseki meal for me (dinner is at 6:00 or 6:30). This ryokan is neither big nor gorgeous but clean and comfortable. All of the staff are very friendly, every time with smile. Especially, the meal is excellent!!! Ashikari is located Yugawara which is close to a major Shinkansen line between Tokyo and Kyoto/Osaka.
