We are a couple & we stayed here for 4 nights. We booked a Superior Triple room & glad we did because we had more room! Location was In the heart of Kabukicho. Since this was our first time here, we didn't know that we would be in a party area, so lots of people outside in the streets at night but never felt unsafe! The location is great for visiting bars or for using as a home base. Breakfast was included & that was in a basement room with enough choices of food. The lobby was sterile & only okay. The staff was very helpful & answered our questions, got us taxis & recommended restaurants. We heard from others that the basic rooms are very small but that can be expected here. We were glad we upgraded!

“No Frills Hotel in a good location”

I booked here a few days before arriving and was able to secure a room for about 200 usd including breakfast. You can’t beat the location, you are in the heart of the red light district of Tokyo. That being said I still felt safe in this area… because let’s face it, most areas of Japan are pretty safe. Because this is in the heart of the hip happening area of Tokyo, the streets around the hotel are a little seedy and dirty, but the hotel itself is very clean. I would encourage you to book a twin room or larger, if you can and it’s in your budget. I had a twin room and I thought it was small, but my friends who were here staying at the hotel as well, had a single, and you could barely move around in the room.. I’m talking claustrophobically small! My friends were very impressed with the breakfast, they said it changed every day, however, I just thought it was OK. Very eclectic in the menu… Think teriyaki chicken, curry soup and a corn porridge… along with the staples of eggs, granola and coffee. They’re vending machines in the basement which had in an array of sodas, beer and a mixed nut packet… around the corner is a 7-Eleven if you really need something for a late night craving. The staff that checked me in were very pleasant and nice. The TV doesn’t show local shows, but you’re allowed to cast Netflix or Hulu from whatever device you have.. I booked on the hotel website, and was allowed a late checkout with no fee because of this. All in all, I would stay here again. Tokyo is expensive and this hotel was affordable, and while I didn’t offer a lot of extras, it was clean without a lot of noise from the outside busy area.

Heading right to Kabukicho was quite a way to kick off our first ever trip to Tokyo/Japan. It's probably the grittiest location we could've picked, but still felt safe. As to be expected, the room was small, and the mattress was on the ground, but had everything we needed. It was a good base for the first four nights of trip. There is so much to see nearby and each access to transit (as there is everywhere in Tokyo) never left us without anything to do. Value seemed good compared to nearby options.

More Western in style and function than the hotel we used in Kyoto, but still a compact Japanese room. We did find that two of our bags slid under the bed for storage, while two did not. More Western in style and function than the hotel we used in Kyoto, but still a compact Japanese room. We did find that two of our bags slid under the bed for storage, while two did not. However the room was fully wheelchair accessible. We also had a fridge, kettle, coffee maker etc. The hotel had a very useful laundry room on the ground floor, as well as a restaurant (which we didn't try). Laundry area has several vending machines with some quite delicious fruity alcoholic drinks at bargain prices. This hotel is located in a party area, so lots of people outside in the streets at night. However we never really heard them or traffic when we were sleeping. The location is great for visiting bars, or for using as a base to go further afield. It's not far from Shinjuku station, from where you can get pretty much anywhere in Tokyo. The only caveat is the room size, but that's typical of Japan.
