Every time at the front desk, I remembered my face and name properly. Initially, the room was the most reasonably ranked room named "Kasuien", but when the staff guide me to the room, "As the woman is traveling alone, so that you can stay relaxed , I ranked up, "I made it to the room of" Takachiho "rank. From the window I saw Misasa bridge and river, it was very cozy room. I always wake up several times at midnight while traveling, but I think I was able to relax both mentally and physically because I was able to have a fulfilling sleep this time. The public bathhouse is small compared to the big inn in the surroundings, but with the self-sourced dripping, the temperature of hot water, usability was also good. It was a bit lukewarm temperature, so it was good that I could have been soaked for a long time. It seems that the reputation of the dish is also good at this inn, so I'd definitely come back next time with a plan with dinner.

I went to stay only one night last week with a group of friends (12 adults). Hotel specially provided us a complimentary pickup service at Kurayoshi Station at 18:09 (originally the latest pickup time is at 18:00), within 20 minutes then we reached the hotel. Upon arrival, we were greeted by 2 ladies bowing their heads at the front door. Lobby and reception are located on 1st floor and there are lift and escalator, very convenient. We booked 3 rooms (Takachiho Japanese-style Room of 24 sqm) and each room is with a toilet and a bathroom just next to it. We did not use the bathroom because we went there mainly for the Misasa Onsen. After the spa, we just took the shower there and therefore, we do not have to line up at our bathrooms. However, you may make use of your own bathroom for a private onsen. There are yukatas, towels, slippers, toothbrushes and toothpaste, hot water kettle, tea and tea bags, etc in the rooms. At the spa, besides the usual cleaning and skin care products, they even have a foot massage and a blood pressure monitor. They do have a TV in the room, however, you don't bother to watch as all are Japanese channels. Free wi-fi service is available in the lobby area. We had our dinner at the hotel and they specially arranged a dining room for us with 2 ladies serving us. I believed this is some kind of a banquet dinner (Kaiseki Ryori). Even though the ladies only speak Japanese, however, we do understand most of their meanings such as which dish should we take first then followed by which dishes. We had the breakfast at same dining room next morning. No doubt on the food quality, we all enjoyed both the atmosphere and the food. After dinner, we went out for a walk. Just cross the bridge in front of our hotel then there was the onsen street where we saw some Japanese men bathing at the outdoor bath down the bridge. We found there was a small foot onsen beside a small temple and some of us had spent some time there happily. When at departure, we again requested to have a special transfer back to the Kurayoshi Station because we had to go to the Mt. Mitoku in the morning and came back after their normal departure transfer time. We went to the Mt. Mitoku by public bus and the bus station was only 2 minutes walk from our hotel. It costs only 380yen and around 15 minutes per way. Mt. Mitoku is a must to visit when you were at Misasa. There are some shops around the bus station area where you could walk around or have a cup of coffee. Overall, we enjoyed very much during our whole stay. Good service, good food, nice and clean rooms and the famous Misasa Onsen. Highly recommend.

“Quiet and relaxing inn”

Mansuirou Japanese Inn It’s a quiet little town. The hotel was very relaxing, hotel staff were all very polite, they spoke little English but we still managed to communicate. Onsen was clean and warm with full amenities. Dinner and breakfast portion were just right.

Apologies for a much overdue review . We came during winter season. The interior is dated in parts but that makes it appealing to some people . Mansuirou is in Misasa, one of the historical onsen districts which is full of character and interesting to stroll around in . The dinner cuisine is slightly less impressive than some other Ryokans, it affords a relaxing stay nevertheless . The staff are lovely and helpful .
