“Standard Toyoko Inn a couple of blocks from the Yamagata JR Station.”
Stayed one night and it is a standard Toyoko Inn which provides a decent nights stay. The hotel is about two long blocks from the JR Station.There is a grocery store across the street called Maxvalu for easy shopping. “Quiet side of JR Station but easy access to city life”
We stayed 2 nights to visit the Yamadera Temple at a leisurely pace. We chose the hotel as it is a 5 min walk from the JR Station.
