“Good Hotel for the Price”

Good hotel for the price. Super convenient to the train station; staff are friendly. Breakfast has good selection, somewhat average quality. My son and I shared a twin room, and it wasn’t huge, but decent by Japanese standards. I’d stay there again.

“Nice place to stay”

Very relaxing. Place is very close to Mt. Fuji Station. Near MOS Burge Restaurant where we had our lunch upon arriving at the station. Room is just enough (not big nor small) for a couple. Good bathroom and we ave a good view. Will definitely return to this hotel.

Decided to do a daytrip to the Fujiyoshida/Kawaguchiko area and looked through hotel options. This came up and was cheap so I decided to stay here. The location is great, a few minutes walk from Fujisan station. My room was spacious and clean, though a bit old-fashioned. Lock has to be locked manually each time you come in or leave. Complimentary breakfast was decent, but nothing special. All in all, a decent and budget friendly place to stay at while going through the attractions in the area. Giving this 4 out of 5, simply because I feel like my other hotels offered better value for money during my Tokyo trip. Would still recommend this place.

I lucked out and was given a larger bedroom than standard. It was a twin room with ample space between the beds and at the foot of the beds for my large suitcase. The bed had a duvet with a cover which only covered one side which I didn't think was very hygienic (I realise it's a typical Japanese style) and one pillow filled with seeds and the other was a softer tempura style pillow. The bathroom was small but functional. The towels were small and thin and only one was provided. There was mould on the shower curtain. The room lighting was ok and the air conditioning worked well. Unfortunately there were no English language channels on TV. There was one desk with a chair. A cupboard and good sized safe which wasn't fixed to the cupboard and a fridge. Wi-Fi was poor and kept on dropping in and out. I tried changing rooms but there was no improvement. The hotel offered free parking and it was just over the road from the train and bus station. I was able to catch a bus from there to Tokyo Haneda airport very easily. That said, booking it was a nightmare because the bus company wouldn't take internet bookings and the hotel refused to help me reserve a seat. The breakfast was ok with enough western choices such as cereal, yoghurt and croissants. The restaurant was a nice bright room. I used the hotel washing machine and dryers (for a small fee). They worked well although the machines were a bit dirty. No English was spoken at reception so communication was difficult. There were a few restaurants within walking distance (or if you drove with parking). 7 Elevens were about 10 minutes walk away. The hire car outlet was about 30 minutes walk away.

Had a pleasant stay here but it was quite average in general. The location is amazing though (an easy walk from the train station - less than five minutes) and there is a really wonderful sushi restaurant just a few places down the road (Sushi Yoshi) that we thoroughly recommend (best sushi in our whole trip to Japan). Room was comfortable overall, but we did have problems with the air-conditioning with it getting a bit too hot at times and a bit too cold at times. Breakfast was included in the price, but it was very plain - nothing to get excited about. Service was OK and friendly and their English was very good.
