We stay for our honeymoon. As usual, Japan is so good with their manner. You will love with people who working here. We arrived at Kawaguchiko station and walk around 10min to this hotel. You will see the great Fuji Mountain along the road. My room is big with complete equipment and can see Fuji from the balcony. In the room you may enjoy cook on the portable kitchen, got freezer to keep your food fresh, eat on the coffee table and the heater function to keep you warm. Overall I love this hotel. easy for me to rent the bicycle from nearest town. Near to Family Mart and also the drug store only at next door. Rent a bycycle and go tour the lake only for 20km. enjoy your ride with perfect view. Happy Holiday.

First impression-oh no! The final result - a comfortable 'home' for 3 nights. The Tourist Office at the Kawaguchiko Station called the Hotel for us and the shuttle van picked us up at the Hotel pick-up point. 4 members of our family group who arrived the next morning walked to the hotel since the shuttle van service starts only at 3pm. It is only about 10 mins walk from the Station. The rooms are big for a Japanese Hotel and the rates are reasonable. The staff were fabulous - both at the front desk and in the restaurant. Interesting to know that they ask their guests if they need daily changing of bedsheets, towels and room cleaning. This is great as there is a shortage of labour. We told them we only need change of towels - and this worked well. Another interesting thing was the availability of extra pillows at the lobby floor (there is only 1 pillow available for each bed-you need more, just help yourself). My only 'complaint' is the flow of water from the bathtub unto the bathroom floor. There is a 24 hours drugstore next door; and a Family Mart 5 mins down the road. For dinner on the last night we took a walk the other direction and found several restaurants with great ambience. It seems you can view Mount Fuji from the rooms facing the mountains. Unfortunately we didn't as for the 3 days the mountains were covered with clouds. Breakfast was satisfying with slight change in variety each of the 3 mornings. On our departure morning, the hotel did two shuttle runs (hotel to station) for our family of 7, which saved 3 of us from walking from hotel to the station. Thank you SAWA for a great stay

Did a 2 night stay to be able to see Mt Fuji and the lake nearby with my family. This hotel is near the bus station but it is a little bit of a walk from there. The staff was great and helpful. The room was quiet, a little larger than the standard Japanese hotel room even had a partial view of Mt Fuji. We had a small kitchenette. It was definitely dated and unfortunately had the hardest bed we ever slept on, no give at all. Pillows were no better. But having said that, they do have complimentary heating pads!! And they will provide additional pillows. The lake is in walking distance of the the hotel. If you walk outside the hotel and take a right, walk to the light. across the street and to the right is a secondhand store with lots neat things. Still, the overall stay was pleasant.

Overall, this hotel is decent for an overnight stay - staff at reception were very polite and efficient, the luggage storage service was very handy for us, and a breakfast area and complimentary shuttle bus to the train station are available. Our bedroom was not the absolute comfiest I experienced in Japan (a few too many hairs lying about and a pretty hard mattress) but for a quick overnight stay, it did the job. The bathroom was very clean and all the necessary amenities were provided; we also had a kitchenette in the room, plus a communal microwave. As a bonus, we enjoyed side views of Mt Fuji from our balcony!
