“A bit unprofessional”

I stayed here two times in two weeks. The hotel looks nice and is clean and tidy. The rooms are spacious and looks nice and the bed was comfortable. The amenities and service was not quite as I would expect at a hotel, however. Since we were in Nairobi during winter, it was quite cold outside (about 15 degrees celsius at night). The rooms did not have any means of warming them up, and they got very cold, escpecially during night. Sometimes there was only lukewarm water in the shower as well, so the stay became rather cold. The rooms were supposed to be equipped with a safe, a fridge, a water boiler and a fan. We were four people during my first stay, and only one had a functioning fridge. I tried asking about this twice, and nothing happend. One did not have a safe and another did not have a functioning fan or water boiler. Also they did not have enough keykards for all of us. During my first stay, one in my group of four did not get a keykard and had to ask a receptionist to open for him every time. During my second stay, all five (!) of us did not get keykards. Furthermore, my group sometimes had to go ask for refills of toiletries, towels and toilet paper. At times, they did not have enough towels and we only got one towel each, even though we were supposed to have three. The breakfast selection was good (a la carte). However, as we were working, we requested the breakfast to be ready at a certain time, but unfortunately it rarely was. Sometimes we did not receive what we ordered and also got things we did not order. The staff is very friendly and helpful when we ask, and with improved service and amennities, O'Sinkirri could be a really nice hotel.

“Secluded place for evening drink”

Looks nice although the outside porch can be a bit cold in the evening and the seating place inside the building is small and can be crowded at times. The music selection is good and very entertaining after a long day at work

“Good deal - Nice boutique hotel”

The hotel is located in a good part of Nairobi and is great value for the price. The breakfast is a la carte and very tasty. Rooms are clean and standard I would say, although there was a jacuzzi in mine, which I never used. The bar has a nice selection of singel malts. There's no air-con, so watch… more

The hotel is located in a good part of Nairobi and is great value for the price. The breakfast is a la carte and very tasty. Rooms are clean and standard I would say, although there was a jacuzzi in mine, which I never used. The bar has a nice selection of singel malts. There's no air-con, so watch out for mosquitoes when you have your winsow open. PS - Across the street there is a really smal and charming bar, "King David".
