Loisaba Tented Camp can only be described as 1st Class and 5 Stars throughout. From the moment you arrive and are warmly greeted by Luke and Dora Ireen and the team you know you are going to love the place. The view from the terrace in front of the restaurant is spectacular , looking down on the waterhole and on a clear morning Mt Kenya on the horizon. The tents are beautifully furnished with a queen sized bed lovely shower and idyllic view out through the see through zip up nets. Fantastic choice of food for breakfast lunch and dinner being looked after by the wonderful waiter Ephantus whose knowledge and great sense of humour pleased us so much. Pious are game driver taught us so much about the Samburi culture and local environment, and managed to find the big 5 and more during our 4 night stay. On our final morning game drive, the bush breakfast was the icing on the cake. A definite must for anyone going on Safari, you will not get anything better. Ben and Denise July 2026 from UK

“The Luxury Safari Experience You Want”

This was my favorite property on an 8-day safari. Loisaba is on a plateau overlooking a plain. Its elevation means it stays fairly cool and comfortable, although it's wonderfully a little chilly at night. Our tented camp room was stunning! It overlooked the plain below. This view is unlike anything I’ve ever stayed in. It felt like a modern hotel without actual walls. The bathrooms had privacy and the showers were excellent. There was plenty of light, drawer space and overall, it felt like a high end hotel room, not a tented camp room. The property itself is amazing. The centralized space with the restaurant and bar is just so unique. I know I’m harping on this but the view is spectacular. It overlooks the plain below and a watering hole. We had just checked in and the manager, Luke, pointed out a black rhino entering the water hole! There are multiple pools on this property and we enjoyed them. Overall, the camp seemed exclusive and private, providing an intimate experience. The food was amazing. Our waiter throughout, Ephantus, got to know exactly how we liked our food. Overall, this felt like a curated, intimate and private experience. Loisaba is an open plain with some hills. It's beautiful. Our Massai guide, Resin and the other guides, were able to spot a lioness, a cheetah and a leopard in one day. The leopard is an elusive animal so we were very thankful to see it. We did a night game drive one night, and although we were unable to really see much, the stars that night were just stunning. That’s the most stars I’ve ever seen. Overall, I can't recommend this property enough. If I were to return to Kenya, I would stay here.

“Loisaba Tented camp”

I can't rate Loisaba Tented camp high enough. Everything about it is 20 star good. The managers, Luke and Dorah are amazing. The guides we had Resin and Bill were very knowledgeable about the various animals and landscape. Outstanding

My husband and I travel to Kenya for our honeymoon and we stayed at this lodge first based on the recommendation of our travel agent. We three nights at Elewana Loisaba and then had four nights booked somewhere else in the Masai Mara. We were told the second place we were staying was the nicest of the two, however upon arrival at the second place, we immediately wished we could go back to Elewana. If I had to recommend someone who wanted to do a safari in Kenya, this is absolutely somewhere I would insist they have to go to and stay at. The rooms are gorgeous and clean, the staff is attentive and things are on time. The manager, Luke, is incredible and I was so impressed with their communication after going to a different lodge and realizing that it does not live up to the standards that Elewana holds themselves to. The views are unparalleled and all the little things that make a stay special were done here. We did have some issues with our vegan dietary restriction, however they were corrected and righted effectively. The wildlife viewing being in a private Conservancy is unparalleled and I think what is really special about this place is that it is in northern Kenya and you get a completely different landscape than you do going to the Masai Mara. I highly recommend this lodge for the ambience, rooms, service, and wildlife. Having been to Kenya a few times and this trip being the most lavish for our honeymoon, this is the one camp I would say feels like true luxury.
