I honestly wasn't planning to leave a review because we were disappointed with our stay. We had high expectations of a five-star hotel. We expected excellent service, staff with a genuine hospitality mindset, and people who were capable of solving problems professionally. Unfortunately, that wasn't our experience. We chose to stay for two nights because we love the restaurants here—Roka, Peacock, and AVA. The food is delicious and of excellent quality. We thought spending two nights here to celebrate my birthday would make it a memorable occasion, but sadly, it didn't. Our first room, Room 423, had a very poorly designed bathroom. The toilet was installed so close to the wall that I had to bend my knees and sit sideways just to use it comfortably. I honestly don't understand how this design was ever approved. The check-in process was also disappointing. We had called to make our reservation an hour before arriving, and we reached the hotel at around 4:00 p.m. Even so, we had to wait a long time before our room was ready . She told us that our room was delayed because we had requested a different bed configuration. The next issue arose when we discovered that the bathroom wasn't suitable for someone with long legs. Since we were exhausted that evening, we asked if we could change rooms the following day instead. The staff told us they would check with the manager and get back to us, but we never received a response. Concerned that the issue hadn't been followed up, we called again. Unfortunately, the operator who answered the phone was rather aggressive. She transferred our call to Mr. Jacob. He was professional and helpful, and he confirmed that we would be able to change rooms the following day to one where I could use the toilet comfortably without having to twist my legs. That said, there were several employees who completely changed my impression and convinced me that they deserved to be recognized. Nicole at AVA Restaurant during breakfast was exceptional. She genuinely cares about guests, pays attention to details, and serves with warmth and kindness. Her smile is natural, and she seems to truly enjoy her job. She stood out from everyone else, and I sincerely hope her manager recognizes the wonderful work she does. Nur at Reception was excellent at solving problems. Thank you for recommending the orthopedic pillow—it made a real difference. The housekeeping lady (I'm sorry I didn't catch her name) was also wonderful. She was smart, cheerful, communicated very well, and provided excellent service. Finally, compliments to the chefs. The almond croissant was absolutely delicious, and the cheese selection was outstanding. It's clear that the hotel uses high-quality ingredients. Although our overall stay did not meet our expectations for a five-star hotel, these employees deserve recognition for their professionalism and genuine hospitality. They were the highlight of our visit.
