I’m so glad I changed my hotel from Hyatt to Orion Hotel Bishkek for my final stay here. Upon checked in, I feel very welcome by reception Ms. Madina. She’s pleasant and made me feel I made the right decision to be here! Also called when I checked in room to see if everything is in order. There’s a young male reception who speaks excellent English and very helpful too. The gym here is way better equipped and modern than Hyatt. The indoor swimming pool is the winner. Proper laps, clean and good temperature. The sauna is super but steam room and jacuzzi are a dismal. Hardly has any steam jet from steam room and jacuzzi has to improve on the bubbles and jet system. I paid for an Executive Suite room. Very large room, dated furnitures and carpet but room is clean. Shower area is disappointing as you’ve to climb into the bathtub to shower and gets slippery when you try to get out. Wifi works well but their panel switch has to improve and make it MUCH easier to understand and operate easily! I can never workout Do Not Disturb and Make Room sign to work. The air con temperature adjustment is also not easy to understand when you first got in tired and need to sleep immediately. Nice wine glasses, cups and various types of glass are provided. Fridge is frustrating as you can’t really put your items as they leave potato chips and all kinds of snacks in the fridge which I feel for 5 star hotels who wishes to leave items on their mini bar, then provide a BIGGER fridge for guest to use especially those in suites room? Breakfast is good with excellent service. Staff are all very pleasant. You can order ready to make omelette and crepes. Anything which you wish them to heat it up can be done. I ordered room service several times for dinner and thought all the waiters expect me to take my food out from the pushing cart. Then I realise is a men issue. A young lady push the food cart to me on my last day and swiftly took out my steak from the hot stove. I booked a 90 min. Sports massage and serviced by a lady name Axxx, I’d many massages in Bishkek and Osh and this is by far the worst. Is more like ticklish than a real massage. She doesn’t seem interested in massaging, sits on the swirling chair and takes longest time on my hands. Many times, she actually stop massaging as if thinking I’ve fallen asleep. I’ve to head back to Hyatt for a real massage. Hyatt has their signature 2hr massage which is very good and cost 5,500 som. Overall, I would rate this place a 5 star especially those who need to workout daily. Though they need to improve on what was said above.

Great location for this hotel. The hotel is two minutes away from a nice park/boulevard that takes you to the centre of the city with all its attractions. Also close to many cafes and restaurants. The hotel itself has neat restaurants and bar. The reception staff were very helpful in providing, assistance and directions. Our room was spacious with all the amenities that you will need. Our transfer from the airport was organised with the hotel and all worked smoothly (apart from the congestion in Bishkek). We had a lovely stay.

My stay at the Orion Hotel Bishkek was excellent. The room gave me the feeling of being in the famous The Grand Budapest Hotel—elegant, charming, and full of character. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, and the spa was quiet, clean, and spacious, providing a perfect place to relax. Most importantly, the service was outstanding. I encountered a major issue in my room and reported it to the front desk manager, Ms. Nestan. With a warm smile and what seemed like a magic wand, she transformed a frustrated customer into a happy one. That is true hospitality. Bravo to Orion Hotel Bishkek and to the spirit of service that its team represents. I will remember this stay fondly.

Stayed 1 night on a group tour and was pleasantly surprised with the comfort of a spacious room and great breakfast spread. At check in, we were apprehensive as the lobby look dated and cramped but upon getting to the room, we were pleased with the space and layout of the room. Breakfast was good with plenty of choices including sparkling wine. Friendly and efficient service at the breakfast cafe. Highly recommended
