This hotel has probably the best location in Luang Prabang. In colonial style with spacious bedrooms having private balconies overlooking the Mekong, and an outdoor restaurant. Hotel staff, under the direction of the ever helpful Mr Noi ensure high standards of cleanliness and attention to guests’ needs. We first stayed here 10 years ago, and the high standards have been maintained. A change however, outside the control of any hotel, is the huge influx of tourist groups to the town with the opening of the rail link from southern China. A consequence is a constant stream of minivans ferrying groups to the early morning Alms-giving ceremony, and ending with evenings of karaoke boats on the river. Hopefully, the town authorities can manage this better over time.

Beautiful hotel in an amazing location at the tip of the peninsula. Amazing views from the balcony! Staff were so friendly and helpful. The hotel was very clean and the location for breakfast was fantastic… right on the river! Peaceful location but only 20 minutes from the night market and close to shops / restaurants. Would definitely recommend and would stay here again when in Luang Prabang.

“Quiet jewel with Mekong river view”

Attentive and very friendly staff. Colonial vibe with rosewood everywhere. No big tours allowed. Lovely! Super location. At confluence of both rivers. Walkable to night and morning markets and to alms giving. Safe. Restaurant is right on the river - making for breathtaking views.

This hotel is located on the Mekong River at the end of a point. It is a quiet location within walking distance of anyplace in Luang Prabang you would care to visit. The rooms are large and well appointed. My room was on ground level with a nice outside sitting area overlooking the river. The staff was attentive and very helpful. They have an outdoor restaurant across the road with a great view of river traffic. The inclusive breakfast was served until 10 am. They offered both western and Lao food with French breads and pastries were served with strong Lao coffee. A thumbs up and a good value.
