The yard after the main building, not belonging to the hotel and the entrance of the house (the hotel is only on some of the floors) do not look very new, but on entering the hotel on the third floor, everything is beautiful, clean and nice. The rooms are big and neat with toilets and showers, the team is friendly and helpful, the internet is working and breakfast is fine. In addition, all this at a low price. The price-performance ratio is perfect. Since the hotel is located behind the main building, there is no street noise. Highly recommended.

It was not the best hotel in my experience. But I paid just €140 for 5 nights with breakfast in the hotel right in the city center - bargain! I don't understand why people expecting something big when they payed small price. Hot water - there is a hot water in the hotel, you just need to wait a little bit longer then usual. I even had a bath during my stay. Old furniture - Yest it is old, but it's in a good condition and it gives a bit of charm to the hotel. TV - old fashioned TV. I would advice to the hotel to invest in that part. Also I would advice to include a little kettle in each room. It's not expensive but will be very useful for guests especially during winter stays. WiFi - very bad. It didn't bothered me personally as I had an European roaming, but for other guests it could be an issue. Latvia has one of the best internet, I believe the owner can easily improve the signal with a couple more routers. Cleanliness - here I have different feelings... It feels clean in the room. But on the first night I had a few long black hairs on the top of my duvet...Diffidently not mine as I just arrived. Not the best experience... Cleaners was in my room every day, but they just changed the bins and nothing else, not even mopped the floor. I know that as my hair was always on the floor, I cleaned it my self. I am not asking to clean the room and change the bed every day, but at list please mope the floor every 2nd day. I have stayed 5 nights, and the bedding was changed on the night 4! Why? If you never change it before why to bother to change on the night before I leave? Breakfast - Herring for breakfast? seriously? Is it Latvian thing? Breakfast was OK, remember the price what I paid. For this price is OK. I very enjoyed the pancakes every morning and fruits. Location - ideal!!! It is in the city center. Within walking distance to the local transport, shopping centers, cafes, restaurants, local attractions etc. And it is a quite place in the same time. Overall - hotel is good and comfortable. Yes, it could be better. Will I be back? probably, yes, as being a solo female traveler, I felt safe in this place.
