Excellent experience here. All the staff, whether on the front desk, cleaning the rooms, serving breakfast were polite and extremely helpful. They also all spoke English which was a bonus and seemed impressed at our faltering attempts at Latvian! We had two rooms between the four of us. They were clean, tidy and comfortable. We found getting the shower temperature correct a bit tricky but no other problems. Breakfast was delicious, varied and plentiful.

Check-in was very smooth and all the three receptionists were very nice and told all the necessary information regarding hotel facilities at check-in. They offered a free welcome drink, a discount to massage and discount to hotel restaurants, when booking from their website. The room was small, but nicely decorated and clean. View was to city streets. The breakfast was good and varied with many kinds of vegetables and warm dishes. They also offered a glass of sparling wine to start your day with. Restaurant staff was excellent and very nice. The spa cost 18€ and slippers and bathrobes were included and found in the room here. Both spa ladies were very nice. Even when you have chosen for the spa to be included in your room category and price already, finding an available time slot is challenging. The spa is so popular in the evenings, fully booked 18-21. I wish they would prolong the opening hours until 22 , since it is so popular and the spa lady told me they even have to turn people away. I recommend booking your spa visit between 9-16 to avoid the crowds. The spa had a nice steam room with stars in the sky and the possibility to pour water over yourself in Turkish hammam style in the steambath. The wooden sauna was not good, because it was forbidden to throw water on the stones, but at least the temperature was adequate 80C. There was a nice hot jacuzzi and a cool swimming pool, wherefrom you could see to the outside through the glass roof. The biggest flaw in the spa was the decoration, which was just boring white tiles, so the place wasn't very atmospheric. The massage was very good and the massage therapists were very skilled and had good technique. Thank you Hilyana. There was also a beautifully decorated spa lounge where you could enjoy tea and relax after your massage. The location is great; in the Old town next to Galerija Centrs shopping centre, close to many restaurants, not far from Origo shopping centre. Value for money was very good as room+breakfast+spa was 70€ per night.

I’m currently staying at this hotel and, so far, I’m not impressed. For a 4-star property, the absence of very basic amenities is surprising. The room provides tea, coffee and hot chocolate, yet there is no milk or creamer. When I contacted reception, I was told I would need to pay the restaurant for milk and that “no hotel provides this,” which frankly seems absurd and not in line with typical 4-star standards. Additionally, essentials such as tissues and complimentary water are also missing. These are small things, but they significantly affect comfort and the overall guest experience — especially at this price point and star rating. I’m hopeful that the remainder of my stay improves and does not continue on this downward trajectory, but first impressions matter, and so far this has been disappointing.
