We stopped at Park Hotel Sonnenhof as part of a family road trip, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our entire journey. Our 7-year-old son had specifically asked to visit Liechtenstein because he found the country so fascinating, and this hotel could not have been a better base for that experience. The view of the Prince's castle from the hotel was simply stunning – a perfect way to soak in the atmosphere of Vaduz. Our room came with a large, beautiful terrace where you could truly enjoy the surroundings. The pool was excellent and a great way to relax after a day of travel with a young child, and the restaurant was outstanding as well, with a quality that matched everything else about the stay. Every detail of our visit was truly first-class. We'd happily return, and we highly recommend Park Hotel Sonnenhof to any family looking for a memorable stop in Liechtenstein.

If you ever visit Liechtenstein, I highly recommend a stay at the Park Hotel Sonnenhof. It is not often that I make this strong recommendation. Here are the reasons: 1) Location: above the tiny city of Vaduz with a commanding view of the castle. The location is peaceful and calm as well as only a short walk to the downtown. 2) Ownership & Operations: The hotel has been owned and operated since 1993 by Hubertus Real, who is also the Executive Chef of the Michelin 1 star restaurant on premises Maree. He has placed a highly competent team in place from Maria at the front desk to crew in the dining room as well as housekeeping. It all works perfectly under the watchful eye of the owner on-site. I have found that restaurants and hotels with owners (and especially their family members) on-site are more apt to meet and beat expectations by me as a customer. Kudos to the servers Carolina from Portugal, Flavio, Georg and many others. 3) Rooms: The rooms are tastefully decorated and provide a serene atmosphere to relax. In fact, I spent the entire day working in my room and was at ease and highly productive. The rooms are well secure, cleaned well every morning by capable staff and have all you need including plush towels that must have been new they were so thirsty. Wow! 4) Value: After staying at the Park Hotel Sonnenhof, I can truly write that the hotel was work every Swiss Franc that I paid. If you are an American Express Platinum card member, you can use your annual credits as well as obtain many complimentary extras at the hotel. 5) Cleanliness: you could eat off of the carpeted floors it is so clean at all times in the common areas. I already commented on how clean the room was. 6) Noise Level: The noise level is the room is quiet. At the restaurant, I was at the mercy of adjoining tables with guests who were too loud but that has nothing to do with the hotel or restaurant just guests who did not know how to behave in public. 7) Service: Luxury pampering service exceeding even those luxury hotel chains like Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton. The service meet all of my expectations and often exceeded them. 8) Breakfast: All food served is local or prepared by the kitchen crew. The baked goods are bakery fresh and never reheated or cooked from frozen dough. The cheese are all local as are the yogurts and cold cuts. The beverages include freshly squeezed juices (try the Ginger fruit drink!) and include Champagne. You can order eggs as you want them as well as waffles and pancakes. It is all worth the price. Would I return to stay at the Park Hotel Sonnenhof? Yes, it is assured if I ever return to visit Liechtenstein. Would I recommend it to others? Yes of course. GO Park Hotel Sonnenhof, GO!Q

Somehow they managed to provide "5-star" service, while still giving a friendly, family-style "bed & breakfast" vibe. My room was quite small, but still comfortable and well-equipped. But wow, the view! Sitting on the small balcony listening to the birds while taking in the incredible view made my stay memorable. By all means, be sure to RSVP for dinner - you will not regret it!

“Without fault”

An all round wonderful experience, despite the inclement weather. Charming, welcoming, and efficient team . A very comfortable, well-appointed room with wonderful views. The restaurant provided superb food, again with faultless service.
