I've stayed he a few times. I can honestly say for the price, it is the best hotel stay at in this country. The staff are simply superb, they are helpful and courteous and always eager to solve problems. The room and the hotel as is spotlessly clean and the atmosphere in the lobby is very chilled. As we've stayed before they gave us complimentary wine and cheese each day of our stay. Additionally coffee whenever we liked. This was a lovely touch and shows loyalty on both parts. Only down side is the shelving In the rooms. We are aware of the small rooms and we are content with that for the price as thats what they tell you. However, if you stay for a few nights just one more shelf would be useful in the rooms. Nevertheless, brilliant company, hotel and staff. They are always my first choice for a London hotel.

Just returned from a 3 night stay here and Z hotels really are my first pick. The Holborn location is excellent, and the huge space in my accessible room was super. The member benefits (complementary hot drinks in reception, daily cheese platter, discounted stays, etc) are a brilliant bonus, the hotel is immaculate and spotlessly clean throughout, and the staff are all on hand to provide a top service. The room itself has aircon and the beds are comfortable. TV reception on some channels was better than others. The tea and coffee in the room is high quality, and if you take up free membership, complimentary hot drinks at the bar are unlimited. Towels are thick and soft, and the shampoo and body wash are really good. The hotel will happily keep your luggage safe after you check out at no charge so you can enjoy your final day in London. I was delighted to find my room was ready straight away, although I arrived a couple of hours before check in, officially at 3pm. Some hotels are inflexible about check in times, but at reception, John said I would be able to enjoy my room straight away. I've stayed at the Bath Z hotel and expected all Z hotels to be the same. At Bath, there's a shower seat in the accessible rooms, which I need, due to poor balance. In Holborn, there's no seat. I explained this to the desk staff before unpacking, and John responded promptly and sympathetically. He checked if an alternative room was available, but none of the accessible rooms has a shower chair. Then we looked at another solution, and agreed to use a chair from the bar area. Arnold took a chair to my room immediately and I have to thank both him and John for their assistance and efforts to sort this so quickly. However, the vinyl covered chair was very difficult to balance on because it was really slippery when it was wet. The chair I had didn't have arms, which made balancing for me more tricky, although there were other chairs with arms in the reception area and I'm sure I could have requested one. But the vinyl on the seat would still be a problem. I've written to Z to suggest keeping a shower chair in reserve, in case other customers need one- and if they can, I will be able to book this hotel next time I'm in Holborn. There's clearly been a lot of thought given to access: the building has a few steps to the front door, so do use the bell on the left hand side of the entrance and staff will assist with the stair lift. There are several stairs inside the building on different levels (I did wonder how this would go if there was a fire, as my accessible room was on the 6th floor and I needed 2 lifts to get there). Just under half the base of the bed is cut away, if you need space under the bed for equipment. The room I had would accommodate even a large power chair and the space was very generous. If you have access needs or special requirements like a shower chair, I'd recommend checking the detail with the hotel before booking. They really can't do enough to help and I want to thank John & Arnold, and also JP who helped me with my luggage when I was ready to leave and saw me safely out of the building.

“A great hotel, super staff and reasonably priced.”

Sitting here in the reception/bar/restaurant of the hotel and I’ve had such a positive experience so far. Checked in early around 10:30am at a cost of £50, room is small (10sqm) but well equipped and functional. Reception and Bar staff are brilliant, attentive and very welcoming. Needed to stay in Holborn and only booked 2 days ago, would stay again. Super value and very good experience.

“Central on a budget.”

We had need to stay near along Kingsway, Holborn and found the Z Hotel to be ideally situated. Upon arrival, Arnold checked us in at Reception and directed us, clearly, to the appropriate lift for our room's floor. During our stay we found team members Christy, Pavithra, Victoria and, of course, Arnold to be dedicated to customer comfort and I thank them very much for their efforts. It is fair to say that our room was small but it was perfectly functional and really clean. As a Central London hotel this Z Hotel presented a great location, clean environment and dedicated staff at a competitive price. Ideal for a stop-over when out and about all day, after a theatre or dining event or being Central on a budget. Thank you to all of the team.
