This little gem is located in the centre of Madrid, providing easy walking distance to most locations. The rooms are very clean and comfortable but are somewhat basic. We had a double bed, air conditioning, a balcony looking over the square, television, and a ceiling fan. The bathroom was functional and very clean. The reception state were very helpful, friendly and provided maps to show you routes to locations if required. The room overlooking the square was somewhat noisy at night but they offered to change our room. So, I wouldn't hesitate to stop there again. “Good stay”

Excellent location in the center of Madrid near several metro stations. You can reach gran via ,peurta del sol , royal palace , plaza mayor, and even retiro park by walking. Hotel is clean. Staff is very nice and helpful. Stayed in Hostal triana several times. Recommended

The hostel is in the city centre of Madrid, just a couple of minutes walking from La Puerta del Sol, with many great public transport links and many of the tourist attractions within walking distance. While the hotel may look a little bit dated the rooms were clean and ours had both air conditioning and a fan. The staff at reception were helpful and nice. Overall I would say that is an excellent choice in Madrid if you do not want to overspend in a hotel, it beat my expectations.

The Hostal Triana is one of the best hostals/pensions I've stayed at in Madrid, and I have stayed in many. The thing I perhaps like most is the size of the rooms. I stayed here twice during my most recent trip to Spain. The first time, I was assigned a room on the second floor with a full/double bed. The second time, it was a room with two twin beds. Both rooms were comfortably large, with en suite bathroom, wardrobe/closet, etc. The public spaces like the reception area are more spacious and more like a hotel than a budget pension. The hostal starts on the 1st floor, and then goes up two more floors. The wifi was fast and, on the occasion when it dropped out on the upper floors, the management quickly fixed it. The location is great, near the Gran Via and Puerto del Sol Metros, but on a relatively quiet street. A couple of things to note that need to be taken into account. While there is an elevator from the street level to the first floor of the hostal, there is no elevator to the second and third floors, so that will be an issue for people with mobility challenges or lots of luggage. Also, the sound insulation between rooms is better than many hostals/hotels I've stayed in, but it is not perfect, so you may still hear some noise from your neighbors or from the hallways, and from the reception area if your room is near the reception desk. I actually cancelled another reservation I had and elected to stay here again, and would definitely recommend this hostal if you are looking at good budget accommodations
