“Perfect location to explore the center of Madrid”

We stayed in a 2-bedroom appartment for 5 days, and found this to be a perfect location to explore the center of Madrid by feet. Very close to Plaza Mayor, Plaza del Sol and the Opera and subway, and all the wonderful tapas bars around it. The appartment was spacious and modern, although the single room had no window (only glass blocks) and the bed was relatively small. Air conditioning was good, and there was an elevator for the upper floors. The staff was very friendly and helped us with taxis and recommendations. The hotel also offers a small breakfast but after a first try we did not use it, as the coffee did not taste well (they have a nice coffee machine in the room, and capsules can be bought for 1€/piece at the reception, so quite expensive) and the muffins were single packed in plastic, so not too convincing. We did not try the free glass of wine in the evening. It was surprisingly quiet at night despite being in the middle of the city, which we appreciated after long days. We would recommend it for a short city trip.

“Quiet, cozy and central apartment near Plaza Mayor, with a great staff”

If you like snug accommodation, you will love New Point Opera. If you like snug accommodation, you will love New Point Opera. The bedroom is almost completely occupied by the twin beds, and there is hardly space between them and the walls to get up or to lie down. The living room has a sofa bed for a third person. The hotel is on a quiet side street and the guests are quiet too. For what you get, the accommodation is a bit overpriced. On the other hand, the staff at the reception is helpful and cheerful providing a real plus to the experience. Location cannot be beat, very close to Plaza Mayor, coffee shops, restaurant, boutiques and the subway.

Our 1 bedroom apartment was ample for our short 3 night stay in Madrid. Location was ideal for walking everywhere & staff was friendly. The apartment itself was ok, had thin walls, and was frankly nothing special. Only 3 stars given due to an extremely unfortunate & inconvenient water issue that affected the entire block. There was no water at all for about 4-5 hours starting at 6am. It wasn’t the hotel’s fault, but a partial reimbursement or some sort of compensation would have been expected….pity.
