The hotel is surprisingly very nice for its price. I booked a suite room, which was really spacious, with classy furnishings. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and had some local foods that you wouldn't normally see at hotels. It seemed understaffed at the time, but perhaps that's because it was just after movement control began to be lifted. All in all, it's an appropriate hotel to be called 'Royale', for Pahang's royal capital. I might even consider staying here instead of in Kuantan, if there's a need to travel for work there.

For some reasons, ive been to this hotel more than 1 hand. Usually i wont comment more than once on hotels ive been to. But for Ancasa, i feel the need to give some review based on the recent stay. If you want a really spacious room, Ancasa is definitely your hotel. I like the room size but i was not happy with the smelly towels provided. I requested for new towels and luckily the staff didnt delay it. Since ive frequented this hotel in the past, i can see that there were some changes took place but unfortunately those didnt give good impression to me. However, the recent stay really upset me. I was so disappointed with the breakfast. Lack of choices when the price itself ( if you pay for add on) almost on the same level with some more oustanding hotels out there. Well, i could still ignore the lack of varieties. But what surprised me not in a good way was, they no longer have the live egg station. They prepared the plain omelettes, yes edible but not as expected. Despite of poor variety of foods offer, i was glad they still serve the bread pudding. And again i was kinda shocked to see a cold half full tray of pudding served there. I looked around and it was still early and i counted and saw less than 10 people in the dining area. How could this pudding had been reduced to half of the tray? Anyway, i was not happy to have a cold and leftover look like pudding there. Some staffs in the dining area were not really friendly and welcoming. When asked, please reply with the utmost courtesy okay. I always praised hotels staff at all the hotels ive stayed before. However, this time Ancasa has disspointed me big. Please dont use heavy crowd in the hotel as why the breakfast was arranged that way. I just feel like the standard of the hotel is getting worse. It is a pity since this used to be a place of conveniece for us.

I've been to ancasa before n i was satisfied with overall services and the room. Based on my first good experience, i decided to bring the family this time around. Other than the cleanliness was still on top level, the rest were so so..in fact i couldnt sleep because it was too cold. I'd tried to control the temperature but i believed it had been set centralized by the hotel. Too cold especially in this raining season. Very little variety of food for breakfast and the refill process was quite slow considering that there are many guests staying. Not comparing with other big hotels, but i wish the doorman at that time could be more proactive and offer faster assistance to guest with bags especially during this wet season. Make people feel the money spent worthwhile ok.
