I recently stayed at this hotel and had a pleasant experience overall. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with all the basic amenities provided. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any requests, Especially the kids playroom staff on Sunday, Ms salmi and Ms tykah were very friendly and helpful…The location was convenient, making it easy to access nearby attractions. Moreover, the breakfast selection was quite a number of varieties.I felt that the stay offered good value for money. I would consider staying here again for a short trip.

This resort has a fantastic beachfront location and plenty of charm, but it’s starting to show its age in noticeable ways. The decking around the property is worn and in need of refinishing or replacement, and it gets extremely hot underfoot during the day. Some parts of the building structure also show signs of wear—possibly from constant exposure to the sea air or simply from older construction standards. Our room had a slight smell when we first arrived, though the service team came by with incense and an oil diffuser to neutralise it, which was thoughtful. The double room itself was well presented and comfortable, if a little tired in places. The bathrooms, however, were lovely. One thing to be aware of is the room temperature on arrival—it took well into the night for the main bedroom to cool down to a comfortable level, though once it did, we were able to maintain it for the rest of the stay. The resort has a large games room with table tennis, a pool table, and video arcade machines, along with a couple of TVs. It’s a great idea in theory, but the temperature in the room was quite warm, so we didn’t end up spending much time there. The pools were enjoyable, though they tended to be quite warm, likely due to the shallow depth. The children’s pool was a hit with our youngest traveller, thanks to the tipping bucket, fountains, and waterslide. There were plenty of pool noodles and kickboards available in the kids’ area, though none in the main infinity pool. Breakfast offered generous options catering to all tastes. At times the breakfast area was extremely busy and a bit chaotic, while at other times it was much more relaxed—so timing your visit can make a big difference. The Fire & Ice bar on the beach was a lovely place to unwind, but oddly it stocked different drink options compared to the main bar near the restaurant and infinity pool. They also ran out of certain drinks quickly and didn’t have backup supplies, which felt unusual. That said, sitting on a bean bag on the beach and watching the world go by was a highlight. The beach itself is very quiet, used mostly by hotel guests and far less busy than pre‑pandemic levels. It’s peaceful, though you can’t help but hope the area sees a bit more activity for the sake of local businesses. A short stroll takes you to the nearby fishing village and Cat Beach—this was easily one of the best experiences of our stay and highly recommended. Watching monitor lizards wander along the beach from our balcony was another unexpected and very cool moment. Our biggest disappointment was witnessing someone smoking in the pool, despite clear signage prohibiting it. Staff continued to serve them food and drinks while they smoked, so we eventually had to ask them ourselves to stop as the smoke was drifting over to where we were sitting with the kids. This really shouldn’t happen in a family environment. The resort sits right on Monkey Beach, though we didn’t see any monkeys on the property itself. There were plenty just beyond the hotel grounds in either direction. The minibar was complimentary but wasn’t restocked after the first day. The Saturday night fire show was a fun way to end the evening, even with the passing rain showers. Overall, this resort has a beautiful setting and some lovely features, but it would benefit from maintenance updates and more attentive enforcement of guest behaviour. With a bit of care, it could easily elevate the experience.
