Pros - Chose hotel for location as visiting family nearby. There are shops and places to eat nearby within walking distance. Free WiFi, but ask for a new code after 5 days. Decent sized room and balcony, efficient shower, plenty of space for clothing etc. Safe, kettle and tea/coffee facilities, fridge, 2 500ml bottles of water replenished each day. Cons - Unfortunately we stayed during half term and national bank holiday/festival weekend, this meant hotel was heaving with large families/children towards the end of the week. The security guard/carpark guy really had his work cut out with the constant stream of cars as the carpark was full. Food - we had dinner here on our first night as was tired from traveling. Restaurant was empty! Bad choice, half of the ingredients were missing from our meals - no remulade sauce, no capers or olives, No prior warning given. Breakfast -variety of food and drinks were on 2 levels. Mix of hot and cold cusines available. If you needed sauce or condiment then take an extra separate spoon as only a knife was provided which meant a sticky experience when putting honey or jam on your plate! As the week progressed it got busier an overflow room was used for seating which was quite a walk from the food. Also be prepared to hear the same music every time you enter the restaurant- the same cd of instrumental 80s love songs played continuously! There was a coffee lounge in the lobby area but sadly only opened from 4pm. Cleanliness- on the surface looked OK but it was evident that under the beds had not been cleaned in a while as there were food crumbs, packaging and hair which definitelywasn't ours! Also noticed tiny bugs coming out of wooded areas in bathroom and headboard. Be wary of the elevator floors as they were wet from people dripping straight from the pool without drying first! Not a hotel problem just inconsiderate guests! Accessibility- as someone with a hidden disability and arthritis I felt that access to all areas of the hotel poor. The only disabled toilet i noticed was on the ground floor near carpark but was always locked. There were ramps to soom areas but I saw none to the coffee lounge and terrace. There were small steps everywhere including into showers, bathrooms and separate toilet cubicles. As the restaurant was on 2 levels you'd have to rely on someone else to get your food or help you up and down a small flight of steps that only had 1 handrail. Staff - friendly but not overly attentive. Pool area looked OK but packed with families in morning and late afternoon - but empty during lunchtime. Pool towels available from kiosk. Lastly, if you are a smoker then firstly be aware tha Malaysia is clamping down hard to be smokefree, the only places in the hotel you can do this are down the steps onto the beach but only during the day, in the covered lower carpark but it's a sweatbox and in the front carpark. An ok hotel if you're not staying long but don't expect a 4* experience. If you need to get out and about I recommend downloading the Grab app, easy to use and choose your ride. Also get an e-sim for data etc when out and about.

We went as a group of 12 and the experience was not good. Most of the rooms didn't have hot water and when asked, the staff mentioned "they have shut it down to save costs" What an answer! We went as a group of 12 and the experience was not good. Most of the rooms didn't have hot water and when asked, the staff mentioned "they have shut it down to save costs" What an answer! Even if they have done it, they should keep quiet, apologize and turn the hot water on. The reception staff never smiles and when informed of our maintenance issues, they ask us to inform the Maintenance Department?? Why do they have a Reception? We wanted to have dinner at the hotel, which wasn't cheap but then we asked them if we could have some drinks at the pool before dinner and they wanted nearly $100 for corkage! The bottle cost us a bit more than that and their request was that we finish our dinner by 10pm, the latest. Guess they didn't want our business! We found a lovely restaurant just crossing the road from the hotel and we had a great time in a private air conditioned room with our bottle. The food was great and the prices were very reasonable. The breakfast buffet was very mediocre with very limited items but the taste wasn't too bad. Will I recommend this hotel? NO, for the simple reasons that the response is very slow and they don't even try to rectify the issues. We never wanted anything for free but to look into the matters that we had in our rooms and a quick response.
