Extremely fantastic experience. Brilliant resort hotel. From THOMAS at the front desk to RAMESH at Flora and Fauna breakfast, this place is a guaranteed awesome holiday destination. Close to everything. Brilliant rooftop pool with beach shuttle (2 mins). Free underground parking. Modern luxurious apartments (you could literally live there indefinitely). Adequate gym (couple more items wouldn't hurt, but definitely enough for 7 to 10 days). Can't say enough. Book without hesitation. Perfect for families especially, but also couples. Will definitely be back. Langkawi itself is amazing. Mangrove Tours. Island hopping. It's all here. Beautifully devoid of the party going trashy/decadent side of Western saturated South East Asia.

My stay at The Riyaz Lavanya in Langkawi was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the beauty and elegance of the apartment—every detail felt thoughtfully designed, from the breathtaking lounge area through to the serene bedroom. The bathroom, in particular, was absolutely stunning, offering a luxurious and relaxing space that truly elevated the entire experience. What made the stay even more memorable was the outstanding level of service. The concierge team were incredibly hospitable, always warm, attentive, and ready to assist with anything I needed. The reception staff were equally impressive—nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and their professionalism and friendliness really stood out. One thoughtful touch I particularly appreciated was the buggy service to and from the beach. It made getting around effortless and added a sense of convenience and care to the stay. The breakfast buffet was also very enjoyable, with a good variety of options to start the day right. In terms of value for money, the experience exceeded expectations given the level of luxury, service, and attention to detail. Cleanliness throughout the property was impeccable, and the peaceful atmosphere ensured minimal noise, making it easy to enjoy a truly restful night’s sleep. The location is also a big plus—an up-and-coming and increasingly popular area with a growing number of high-quality hotels and significant investment from major developments. It’s clear this part of Langkawi is evolving into a prime destination, making the stay feel even more worthwhile. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again in the future. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable escape in Langkawi.

this hotel is expensive but its excellent hotel & worth it. Locations excellent very close to the sea. I took sea phasing room, thanks to reception they upgraded my to 2 BHK. They gave me Room very early check in was so silent and quick. there talking manners and behaviour is top rated. Room Service is excellent. Too clean, no voice too quiet & complete peace. Atmosphere feel like we are actually in luxury hotel. amenities like garden, play area, swimming, spa etc swimming pool is on top floor with beautiful sea view breakfast is very good, not excellent but very good, you should take with breakfast. only 1 think I did not like and that is main part for me that is SPA. my money wasted in Spa, I did not enjoy, I was expecting more good spa than others, rates are more compare to island & Kuala Lampur. others everything is good.

This hotel is definitely not worth the money it charges. Like every property, it has a mix of positives and negatives, but unfortunately, the negatives far outweigh the positives in this case. To begin with, the front office staff were extremely inefficient and seemed quite clueless. I ended up wasting nearly 2 hours from the time I reached reception to finally settling into my room. Initially, an intern handled my check-in, which took an unusually long time. To make matters worse, we were directed to the wrong elevator where our room keys didn’t work. I had to return to the lobby twice before the staff realized their mistake and guided us correctly. The first room assigned to me was also disappointing. Despite specifically booking and paying a premium for a sea-view room, the view was entirely blocked by an adjacent construction site. I hadn’t travelled all the way to Malaysia and booked a 5-star property just to stare at construction. After raising the issue, the hotel did change my room to one with a partial sea view and partial construction view. While they did upgrade me to a superior room, it didn’t make up for the ongoing shortcomings that followed. Service throughout the stay was highly unprofessional. At one point, when we tried to order dinner via room service, the phone operator failed to transfer our call to the restaurant. We eventually had to walk down ourselves, only to be told that they didn’t have enough staff to prepare food—which is shocking for a 5-star establishment. After some insistence, they agreed to prepare a few basic dishes. Breakfast was another major disappointment. Even though we visited during peak hours, the poor condition of the buffet was unacceptable. Dishes were messy and spilling over, making them unappetizing. The cheese platter looked poorly handled, almost as if it had been tampered with. There was a complete lack of supervision—no staff were present to monitor cleanliness or replenish items. Several dishes ran out and were not refilled promptly. For instance, I waited 10 minutes for pancakes before giving up. The chef at the omelette counter was discourteous and appeared very untidy. Additionally, the coffee from the vending machine had a foul smell, and there were no alternatives provided. There were a few positives worth mentioning. The room size was quite spacious, and the hotel’s location is convenient—close to both restaurants and the beach. Some bakery items at breakfast were enjoyable, and the one dinner we managed to have was decent. Their email communication prior to booking was also impressive and professional, which initially convinced me to choose this hotel. However, the pricing is extremely high compared to the value offered. The overall experience reflects a lack of professionalism across all departments. While the property itself has great potential due to its location and infrastructure, it is poorly managed and staffed by largely inexperienced personnel. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone unless you are able to secure a deal at least 50% below their standard pricing.
