The best part of this resort was the staff, who were consistently kind and helpful—particularly Fatin, who was very knowledgeable about the resort farm. The location is ok, although there are nicer beaches elsewhere on the island. The resort markets itself as eco-friendly, and you can adopt a frangipani tree, but daily single-use plastic water bottles and miniature toiletries seemed at odds with that positioning. The overall condition and maintenance of the resort were disappointing. Across three rooms: • One had very poor water pressure and no properly hot water (only tepid). • A window was broken at the hinge, leaving a large gap for mosquitoes; the eventual ‘fix’ was to screw it permanently shut. • Another room had a bath that had not been cleaned, and a completely blocked drain which required several hours of maintenance and brown water backflow to resolve. • We also noticed issues such as slow-draining sinks and marks in the bathroom that had not been cleaned. These problems suggested maintenance is largely reactive rather than proactive. Facilities were also underwhelming (e.g. the ‘computer room’ was a small, dirty, poorly maintained space with a broken air-conditioning unit). Food was average. Breakfast was unremarkable, with grey scrambled eggs and cheap jam which I’m not sure had ever seen a strawberry and our one evening meal was disappointing (e.g. soggy pasta and gristly meat in bolognese), so we chose to eat out for the other nights (Scarborough Fish & Chips was great!). Overall, while the staff were excellent, the condition of the rooms and facilities does not currently match the resort’s positioning or room rates.

“Investment and customer service training needed!”

Location of this resort is the best part as it on the beach and close to restaurants and bars. The resort itself is in serious need of refurbishment. Location of this resort is the best part as it on the beach and close to restaurants and bars. The resort itself is in serious need of refurbishment. The rooms are extremely dated especially the bathrooms with poor and dirty grouting around sink and bath. There is a shower located outside the bathroom which is effective, but could also do with updating even just a shelf or two to store your shampoo etc rather than on the floor! Most of the staff at the bar and restaurant seem to lack a basic understanding of the drinks and food they are serving and some simple customer engagement training would be the most practical solution to enable these areas to work more efficiently and not lead to a one hour wait for a club sandwich! This resort is in a great location and I do hope the owners can see that a refurbishment would catapult this resort into a 4* facility.
