Came here with my partner last June for a 4 days 3 nights stay. The hotel is very near to tanjung aru Beach where you can head there to watch the sunset. There's a lot of food stall around, grab some bites and head to the beach to watch the sunset. Hotel is not very near to the city centre hence it is quite quiet. You can easily head to the city centre via grab or drive if you rent a car The hotel is clean and spacious. It is a value for money deal.

“Great location, good stay”

It was a nice 1night stay, very nice location as it is just walking distance 5mins walk to Tg Aru beach. The hotel is aged, but has all.basic facilities. The room was clean and okay. The bed was okay, but squeaky. Shower is nice. Thanks

“Decent enough for the price”

The hotel is about what you'd expect for the price, it's seen better days but is decent enough, there's a fridge in the room and bottles of water and tea and coffee that get restocked every day, and it's just across the road from Tanjung Aru Beach. The hotel is about what you'd expect for the price, it's seen better days but is decent enough, there's a fridge in the room and bottles of water and tea and coffee that get restocked every day, and it's just across the road from Tanjung Aru Beach. It's also just a short walk from the Shangri La where rooms are nearly ten times the price of the Casuarina, my entire week's stay at the Casuarina was less than a single night at the Shangri La where others in the group were staying. Oh, and there's a free shuttle to the airport, you just have to let them know in advance.

“Leaking A/C”

We stayed there for 2 nights. Had to because of an event which was organized just next to the hotel. Checked into first room on level 4. We stayed there for 2 nights. Had to because of an event which was organized just next to the hotel. Checked into first room on level 4. The floor was sticky and there was a piece of oxidized fruit behind the sink. Told it to the cleaner we bumped outside and she said it was just cleaned and the floor stickiness was due to the residue of water. Told her no, we bent down and saw there were food marks on it. Requested for a change of room which the receptionist willingly complied. Was given room on level 2, 206. Leaking A/C at the sliding door and the floor was wet. But room was clean and spacious. Receptionist suggested another room on level 1. Checked it and it was too close to the car park so we could hear car noise. So we decided to put up with the leaking A/C in 206. The maintenance man came to fix it and it was good- for the night. The next night we experienced it again. As it was a sunday there were no maintenance man to fix it. We were offered another room but we were just too tired to move. So we just stayed put. First hotel in Malaysia that I came across of not having a bidet. Which was quite inconvenient. Breakfast was provided, simple but we are thankful it, it helps when having 2 young kids. You could hear the planes take off all day, and night. Would I come back again? Not really. So much room for improvement though. Fix the a/c, add a bidet, upgrade your tea selection, repair the damp and damaged vinyl flooring from the A/C dripping, upgrade your kitchen menu.
