Fantastic place to take the Family. We were always treated very well by the staff and the breakfast we had every day of our weeks stay was a perfect way to start the day. It is close to the city centre and we even had a day of doing nothing but swim and have room service which was a wonderful meal. My daughters, my wife and I would stay here again and plan to on our next Kuala Lumpur adventure.

“Pretty Good!”

Hotel is clean, convenient shop at the hotel if you need something. Hotel is clean, convenient shop at the hotel if you need something. Room is spacious, comes with a bath tub, living room, kitchen - and the kitchen has cutleries :) The cupboards are a little old but it's fine. Pillows are a little too soft for my liking. Room service knocked on the door the following morning (it's a long knock), I thought it was my partner who went for breakfast and forgot to bring the key, turns out its housekeeping. Do put the DND sign outside the door else you'll be disturbed early in the morning, but small matter as we didn't hang the sign. One thing housekeeping needs to improved on, they did no refill the shower gel, and they turn on all the lights and never switched it off. I switched everything off before we left, when we came back at night, all the lights were on (we stayed for 3 days and all 3 days all lights were on). There's a sign in the room saying to conserve electricity (their own staff don't even implement it). The hotel offers free parking for hotel guest. Slot your room card in the reader upon exit and the boom gate will open. For outside guests, parking is RM5 (pay at the reception). Upon checking out hotel will provide you with a temporary card to exit the parking, after slotting in the reader, you need to deposit back the card into the box below the reader. Breakfast has a good selection but it's not fantastic. Taste wise to me it's so so. Never got a chance to hangout at the pool. Overall it's a decent hotel to stay if you are visiting areas around Ampang or KLCC.

Stayed here a couple of times, most recent was Christmas 2019. Mediocre hotel. The recent stay was really disappointing that prompted me to write a negative review, which I don’t normally do. It seems like their service is becoming worse. Obvious cost cutting on a lot of areas. And they don’t seem to care whether their customers are satisfied with the stay. Cons: 1. Same long, inefficient check in process. Like every single time. Whether you arrive early or late, you have to wait for 30min-1hour for your room. One time we arrived early, requested for early check-in but was not allowed. Fair enough. I came back at 4pm, expecting a room assigned already but we still had to wait for a room to be assigned, counter staff saying that room is not prepared yet? The recent stay, we arrived past 3pm. Same excuse, rooms still need to be cleaned, etc etc. 2. Unsmiling attendants. Like you can’t ask or demand anything. They will dismiss your query with a quick, non-helpful answer. 3. Hot waiting area at the lobby. 4. Basic room amenities. They don’t issue toothbrush anymore, no room slippers either. Cutleries will be given only if you ask, and only good for 2 persons. Only 2 sets of everything - 2 sets of utensils, 2 glass, 2 pans, etc. No rice cooker either so it was a bit of a hassle to cook rice. 5. Breakfast buffet was super underwhelming, a budget hotel would have prepared a much better breakfast than theirs. Hotdogs. Beans. Plain Nasi Lemak. Porridge. Diluted coffee, Egg station was the only nice choice. And the freshly baked croissant. Pros: Clean & tidy room, big space. Cold AC. Indoor pool is also clean. Hock Choon supermarket is a stone’s throw away. Hotel Building may be old but the architecture is still impressive Summary: We’ve given Ambassador Roe Hotel many chances already to redeem itself, sadly, each stay is getting worse. if you need to stay in this area, Oakwood Hotel at the opposite road is way much better. Same price range but definitely a level up in amenities & services.

The hotel is a old but the room (Family suites) is spacious and clean. Our room got this cigarette smell but ok when we blasted the AC. Receptionist was not warm & friendly at all but the housekeeping personnel that assisted us twice was vey accommodating. Family suite offers 1 queen bed and 1 single bed, living hall with sofa bed, dining area and tv with breakfast for 3 pax. Amenities provided are for 3 person ie towel and toiletteries. Location - nearby klcc, gleneagles hospital and foodpanda & grab offers a lot of options for your food selections. The ambience is relaxing and we did enjoy our stay
