We are currently on a 7-night stay at the hotel, and after a long, exhausting day at the office, we just wanted to head back to our room and had absolutely no energy to go out again. We decided to have dinner at Tosca inside DoubleTree by Hilton Shah Alam for the second time, and it turned out to be the absolute best decision! * Complimentary Appetizer: We started our meal with their complimentary house bread. What makes it stand out is the unique signature sambal served alongside it—it is incredibly flavorful and a fantastic way to open the appetite. * The Mains (Pizza & Lamb Shank): We tried a different dish this time, the Australian Lamb Shank, alongside a pizza. To our delightful surprise, the lamb shank came in a very generous portion! The meat was incredibly tender and delicious, making it the perfect size for the two of us to share and leave completely full. * Side Dish & Drinks: We added a side of french fries, which were perfectly crispy, and paired everything with a cold Tiger Beer to completely unwind after work. Service & Hospitality: A huge shoutout goes to the kitchen and service team for making our second visit just as memorable as the first. Thank you so much to Chef Shaheuk, Manosh, Afiqah, and Yan for the exceptional food and hospitality. On a personal note, I was incredibly proud and grateful to be served by Nixon, a fellow intern from Indonesia just like myself. His warm, friendly, and attentive service made us feel right at home after a tiring workday! Having such a premium, cozy Italian dining option right inside the hotel makes a long-term stay so much better. Highly recommended, and we will definitely be back for a third time before our week is up! Rating: 5/5 ⭐

Great hotel, friendly staff, excellent service. I spent five days at the Doubletree Shah Alam i City. As a Hilton Lifetime Diamond member, I was kindly upgraded to a suite. There was also a fruit basket and chocolates – finally, a fruit basket in Malaysia with Asian fruits like mangosteen, salak, and longan – thank you so much! The newly renovated suite was at the end of the corridor overlooking the i City amusement park. It was fascinating to watch the go-kart races in the evenings. There's also a Ferris wheel, a water park with slides and other rides, and a very large shopping mall right next door. The city itself was very well-maintained; two streets had fantastic graffiti on the building facades – perfect for photos. There was a well-equipped gym, a lovely pool with a pool bar, and a spa offering various massages. A games room with billiards, foosball, and a TV was also available. The Axis Lounge on the ground floor, next to reception, offered Diamond members complimentary drinks and light snacks in the evenings between 4:00 and 7:00 PM. Next to the pool was the Italian restaurant Tosca, serving delicious pizza and other excellent dishes. The breakfast buffet at Makan Kitchen left nothing to be desired: from Indian specialties to Malaysian and international dishes, as well as fresh salads and fruit, delicious juices, and a variety of ice creams. Bread, rolls, sausages, and, depending on the day, smoked salmon were also available. A perfect start to the day, complemented by friendly staff and excellent service throughout the hotel, especially at reception. A heartfelt thank you also to all the other employees who always greeted and bid me farewell so warmly. A fantastic hotel that I highly recommend.
