Was surprised to receive a suite upgrade on my first stay here. The suite was on the 13th floor. Although it’s not the Merdeka 118 view, I’m still grateful. A few days before check-in, I saw they had upgraded me to the next category (guest room with Merdeka 118 view), but this turned out better. Requested a birthday decoration through the app chat two days before arrival. Check-in was smooth, and Ms Que was very friendly and welcoming. I had contacted them prior to arrival and was informed the room was ready around 2PM, probably because it’s a weekday. Before heading out for a late lunch at Jann, I received a welcome letter under the door with a complimentary drink voucher, which I redeemed there. When I returned to the room, there was a small cake, fruits, and a handwritten birthday card — which I really loved and giving a personal touch vibe. Overall, a pleasant stay.

Check In : 31st March 2026 Check Out : 02nd April 2026 Stay : First Time Location : The hotel is strategically located close to almost everything. I love the convenience it offers. It is 4 mins walk to Monorail Station Maharajalela which has direct connection to Bukit Bintang and KL Sentral. It is 5 mins walk to LRT Plaza Rakyat which has direct LRT to Bus Terminal. To make it even more perfect, 5 mins walk to LRT Pasar Seni, a direct train to KLCC and also MRT towards Bukit Bintang. The area is literally a stone throw away from the hipster area of the Petaling Street. Lots of artsy cafe around and so many nice photo spots. It is very convenient and safe area. Lobby : The elevator and lobby area is very instagrammable. I like the deep green design which really adds to the aesthetic of the place. It is clean and spotless. Smells even fresh too. Check in was done in middle counter and I was assisted in no less than 1 minute after queuing on the line. Check in was quick and within 7 mins, I got the room keys to my 2 rooms. Great job from the Front Office Team. When I went to my room, I forgot to pickup my ID. I came back downstair, Shaqeel reminded me about that and he kept mine safe. Room : Both rooms were upgraded to the amazing 118 tower. I just realize the behemoth scale of the tower from the comfort of level 15. The room is perfect in size. It is clean, fresh and spotless. Bathroom is of perfect size and all amenities are complete. The mini bar, heater, hot water and safe works like well oiled machines. The bed is so comfy and the duvet is super soft. When I lie down to destroy the bed texture, it felt so crispy on my skin. Kudos to the housekeeping team for such an amazing job. Every details is cleaned. During my second day, I came back to the room with super crisp be again and I destroyed the bed with my work uniform because of how good it is. Dining : I ordered Ayam Percik on my first night. It says 45 mins. I am rather surprised that it actually arrived before 30 mins when I was brushing my teeth. LOL. What a lightning speed. Room Service personnel Adam Quzeir delivered the food inside my room and made it his business to ask if I ever need anything at all. Excellent service from this guy. The food is fragrant and taste really good. Eating inside the room while looking directly to the Tower 118 is amazing. Breakfast is located in Qwan, level 8. I love how attentive everyone is when I approach the outlet. The selection is as I can expect from any other hotel of the same kind. But one thing stood up particularly high. The hot steam Yam is a local delicacy that often overlooked. I took 3 to 4 of them to my plate and enjoy it with a sambal. The Roti Canai is great, I love the crispiness. The second day breakfast, I tried Nasi Lemak without looking at the sambal. Well, I got quite a surprise. The sambal is added with a petai. For me, I am good with it. I love it. But for some others, the strong odour might put them off. Maybe this one can be looked to be more inclusive. Facilities : The hotel is disable friendly. The elevator works well but I got confused sometimes to the car park lift. My fault. The pool is amazing and it is in complete view of the 4 towers : KL, KLCC, 118 and TRX. I love the view. Unfortunately, 2 days staying there, I didnt get a chance to try to swim. Maybe next time. Parking - didnt use as I came by public transport. Satisfaction : 100% satisfied. Shoutout to Shaqeel from the reception and Adam Quzeir from Room Service for their excellent services throughout my stay. Recommendation : I will totally spread the good words and recommend this hotel to my friends.

“Nice Stay, Dining Not So Much”

A weekend 2 nights staycation and booked by my spouse. We arrived around 2pm Saturday with our 4 years old. Prompt check in and was told the room is ready. Merdeka 118 view is amazing. I just realize how big the tower is. The hotel upholds the Marriott standard when it comes to bed, amenities and expected services. Lobby is nice and love the elevator. Breakfast is awesome with nice selection. Now the dining part is ever the more confusing. On Friday evening, I would like to do Room Services but the QR code, after scanned displayed no menu available. I tried 3 times, using different phone. Still showing same. Called the operator, was inform the code is wrong, I let IT check and try again in 30 mins. I did try again, amd it works. The next evening, I want to reorder Room services, only to get unable to scan. Knowing the drill from the first evening, I waited 20 mins. Now I get to scan and it works. Then I wish to order Nasi Lemak, it says unavailable due to one or more items finished. We just decided to go down to level 8. But Quan was sealed off. Wait what? And I was asked to go to level 7. Where is the dining area for some local food in level 7? No notes, no nothing. I was asked to sit inside the dark bar with my 4 years old, only to be handed a full menu of alcohols. At this time, I felt hopeless since no one is willing to guide me to eat Laksa or anything. Nothing. We just went to ground floor and dinner at Ali Muthu Ah Hock across the road. Travellers, saves your time, the outlet is closed at 5pm and you have no option to eat inside the hotel. No one is telling you anything and no signs directing people as to where to go for a well deserved local food. NONE. Nice hotel stay but marked with the rather disappointing dining moment, the next time I stay again, breakfast is the only one I will dine in. The rest is hopeless.
