The hotel is attached to a large upscale mall and perfectly located near many other venues in the middle of KL. (Kuala Lumpur) The hotel is great as are many 5 star hotels. The difference is that you are treated like royalty. It’s seemed like every single waiter/waitress/housekeeper/guest services and Lounge hosts has the guest in mind from the moment you arrive. This JW. has it all “down pat”. For me, a person that uses the sports facilities daily, this JW is heavenly. They have the steam room, sauna, jacuzzi, cold plunge bath and showers all in one area. More importantly ALL are in good working order! In addition, the 20 meter pool is a nice 29-30C., and the gym is decent with a variety of machines and equipment. There’s even a relaxation area and a spacious locker room. Try to get access to the 2nd floor lounge as it’s really a good place to relax or work with peace and quiet. The dinner happy hour is quite ok as well. They take care of everything. The food included plenty of vegetarian dishes and all refreshments including alcohol if you drink. Sultana and Rebecca are a great team in the lounge. In the breakfast area, the whole staff was great. I was lucky to get Jasim from Bangladesh. He’s as good as they get. Just ask for him and he’ll have everything ready and done before you blink! I can’t really find any faults with anything. If I HAD to find something, I suppose I’d say to improve the welcome plate with some nice chocolates or cookies instead of the artificial-looking sweets. “Below expectation”

Below expectation and quality of food at Lounge and during breakfast has dropped. Last stayed here in 2025 and the food then was excellent. As always, breakfast at the cafe was crowded but quality has dropped and there were less options.

ARRIVAL- the driveway was hetic and unlaoding bags myself the t(axi driver sat in car) but when noticed by staff they came over and assisted and greeted me. ARRIVAL- the driveway was hetic and unlaoding bags myself the t(axi driver sat in car) but when noticed by staff they came over and assisted and greeted me. CHECK IN- 4 staff on and it was busy and slow. I do understand and the young lady was very apologetic for the delay. Was told I had an up grade sadly with Marriott I do not have much faith in that as I think they give rooms a different name to what was booked just to make you feel good. ROOM- looks pleasent, spacious, good desk. Over my few days here I noticed the rooms very sound proof I was right above Jalan Bukit Bintang and no noise except one night a very high reving motorbike that lasted 15 second. The bed must of been great as I slept in till 7 am. Very comfortable. BUT - yes always a but with me, Towel hook broken, vanity mirror broken, hand held shower broken, there was something else but forgot. FOOD- room service very efficient and professional, I ordered pizza. It looked fantastic and tasted great except in the centre was just a blob of cheese and soggy base. I ate just the outside which is a shame as that part was great. BREAKFAST - well I have read reviews on this and I have to agree. Just like a food court, noisy, no atmosphere, cramped in with little room to move. first day all I got was coffee and some cereal as I could not stand it any more and the fact while I was in line to serve myself I was asked to move so some instgrammer of sorts could video. I left and no thank you, did you enjoy your meal just word EXIT and point to the exit like getting off public transoprt. Not one staff was smiling said hello how is everything. Nothing , Now I could not do their job at all they are under a lot of pressure but none were happy to be there. I have to remember this hotel has 700 rooms I think Its not easy keeping everybody 100% happy. Basically the rude guests put me off. Next day I left it till a lot later and more space many empty tables so I asked if I could have a quiet table in a corner and the woman put me next to the big speaker blaring out music NOT IMPRESSED. The food I had a better chance this time and all the food I had was excellent, fresh . tasty, warm if it had to be. The young lady on the coffee station was friendly and said hello - The only one out of all the staff on duty. On leaving was thanked and wished a great day. so much better than previus day. FACILITIES - I used the gym a couple times and was not bad very clean, reasonable space and equipment. There was some fantastic staff here 1 coffee station attendent and most of the conceirge staff all polite and welcoming. WOULD I STAY AGAIN, I am unsure I doubt if I would pay for breakfast at the buffett, I travel solo so in reality I am paying for 2 when i book a room. But by next time I hope my status has leveled up and can enjoy the club room in privacy as I do with another group I am in.
