“A pleasant stay”

Location strategic, near to Grand Nexus ballroom. Room has all the necessary facilities. Only one drawback, the pillows are too high for comfort. Had to sleep without pillow.

A really great place, with very very sweet staff. The wifi is not the best, and there are some noise from the street, but definitely still worth the stay. The rooms are clean, and the location is good.

The location is great, with proximity to the University station for metro, and plenty of dining options within 3-12 minute walk, across the street or up to the Sphere complex (highly recommend the Farm). Views from our room were nice. We had plenty of storage space (handy for our 3 week extended stay). The dual window blinds made for good light control. The property is clean and efficient, with a nice pool, decent gym, good community kitchen and fast elevator service. They offer a shuttle 4 times a day to local shopping venues, but there were several days the service was cancelled with no notice. Where Komune falls short is the actual guest service experience. Think budget airline where any additional request or need is an add-on cost. Wifi is limited to 2 devices per person (hard if you are a busy digital nomad couple) and limited to 10mbps (okay for basic data and email, strenuous for editing, uploading or streaming). You can pay for higher levels. Each guest receives only 1 towel (no hand, no face and only exchange 1x week). The room is equipped with a coffee cup, kettle and water pitcher. No glassware, no staples, and no flatware. The pillows are very high and extremely hard. We slept better without them. Both of us ended up with our feet hanging off the end of the bed. We inquired about a blanket and told we could 'rent' one. The A/C system worked ok, but the filter desperately requires cleaning as we suffered from a significant lack of fresh air return (windows do NOT vent). Latent design defects result in the bathroom floor being very wet after every shower no matter how you attempt to hide in the corner. This also results in the floor mat being soaked, which again is only changed 1x a week. Toilet bday sprayer requires 2 hand operation. From the 25th floor, we could hear the traffic and train going by at all hours. We previously stayed at the Komune in Cheras and received MUCH better service and support. The best things for Komune Bangsar are it's location, modern room finishing and cleanliness.
