“Great family stay with lots of space”

We stayed here twice during a recent family trip (and somehow ended up in the same room both times). The 2‑bedroom apartment was perfect for us — having two bathrooms was super handy, and the modern design was a nice touch. The washing machine on the balcony and the clothesline made life easier too… more

We stayed here twice during a recent family trip (and somehow ended up in the same room both times). The 2‑bedroom apartment was perfect for us — having two bathrooms was super handy, and the modern design was a nice touch. The washing machine on the balcony and the clothesline made life easier too. The open‑plan kitchen and lounge area was huge — our daughter loved having so much room to play. The pool was also a hit: not overcrowded, with a separate kids’ area and towels provided. Transport was easy with Grab/taxis right out front. There are a few restaurants downstairs, though they weren’t amazing. Being attached to a massive shopping centre was incredibly convenient. I’m not giving 5 stars because on our second stay one of the bathroom towels had a big rip in it, and we could hear people walking around in the room above us until they went to bed. Otherwise, the staff were lovely and helpful

This property presents itself as Malaysia's first "living concept" hotel—essentially fully-equipped serviced apartments occupying the tallest building in Putrajaya. On paper, it's impressive: spacious rooms with full kitchens, washing machines, and modern furnishings, all connected directly to Alamanda Shopping Mall. But here's where things get messy. This isn't purely a hotel—it's a mixed-use building that also houses residential condominiums, and therein lies the fundamental problem. You're competing for elevators, pool space, and gym access with permanent residents who treat the place like their personal playground. Add to that the influx of budget-conscious regional travelers during peak seasons, and what you get is an overcrowded, chaotic environment that feels more like a bustling apartment complex than a relaxing hotel. While the concept is solid and pricing is reasonable, the execution falters in ways that seriously diminish the guest experience. LOCATION:The location is not too bad, if you choose to stay in Putrajaya. You're literally connected to Alamanda Putrajaya via a walkway, which means food and shopping are never a problem. The hotel sits within the Shaftsbury retail complex, so there's immediate access to McDonald's, Starbucks, and other F&B outlets. It's about 20-25 minutes from KLIA, making it decent for transit stays. The flip side? Putrajaya itself is quiet—some would say too quiet. If you're expecting vibrant nightlife or bustling streets, look elsewhere. This is government territory, sterile and planned to a fault. DINE + DRINK: They have a nice Lobby Cafe serving good Coffee, and soft beverages. Didnt have a chance to try out their restaurants. ROOM: We stayed in Room 3108, which was a one-bedroom apartment , so this review is based on that; SIZE: Spacious enough for 2 adults with a nice living room, dining area, full sized kitchen, and a nice bedroom; VIEW: sweet view of the cityscape and the rolling hills at a distance ; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting us to sleep; BATHROOM:Good sized bathroom with a Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: lovely spa quaility toiletries by ELEMENTAL HERBOLOGY brand! FACILITIES: THe Gym was a big disappointment. THough i had booked this place for the fitness center, a lot of machines werent working, the airncon was non-functional (and the place was hot like a sauna), and the TV never worked! The Swimming pool is pretty huge and balinese style but the sad part is it is mostly packed with a big crowd, especially ones who dont have a good pool etiquette! SERVICE: Friendly staff that cared for all our needs with a smile and made us feel at home and well taken care of. HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free Wi-Fi that was SUPER SLOW. SO beware if you are planning to do any serious work or meetings while staying here! Big Smart TV dishing out a good variety of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies, and entertainment in multiple languages
