We are back to the Villa at Sunway Resort Hotel for the first time after the new renovation. The price has increased after the new renovation. We love the room design and the hospitality of the team at the Premier Lounge. Special thanks to Kavi, Eme, Lita and Izman for taking good care of us during our short stay cation. They provide us a nice treat and fruit basket for our anniversary. The room is fully furnished with interactive touch button and the bathroom is nicely upgraded compared to the previous dated villa. The toiletries provided are of very good quality. The sunway resort has changed alot by including another children pool waterventure at level 5 and a kid club at level 1. They even have a designated dining area for kids at the Sun Terrace restaurant. We absolutely love the green landscape of the resort. The direct access to the Sunway Lagoon via less crowded hotel access is also a plus point for family travellers. The link to sunway pyramid is also walking distance. Overall, we truly adore the experience in the Villa Sunway Resort Hotel and look forward to return again.

We had a wonderful trip to Maylasia. The Sunway Resort and Spa was amazing. The rooms were large and clean. The hotel was within walking distance of dining, groceries, pharmacies, etc. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful from check in to check out but you must go see Casie, the Concierge. He is standing just to the left of the front door and will greet you with a smile and make your trip unforgettable. Anything you need or could possibly want to know about the area he can deliver. Travel ideas, things to do, recommendations, local transportation, everything. Malaysia is definitely a place you want to visit, staying at the Sunway Resort is a must, and daily visits with Cassie will bring it all together for a pleasant trip. The villas are nicely built and it gives you an impression that you are in a place far away from the hassle of city life which is really nice. Landscaping along the wall way to the villas is nice and you can see plants and trees everywhere. Checking in is alright and the staff attended to us is friendly and helpful. And she even use the car to send us to our Villa. The Villa comes with our own private pool which is not very big but that is fine. The room size is quite big and I like the high ceiling which makes it look spacious. It comes with a balcony but sadly though not much of a view. We can see other villas in front of us from the balcony. The bathroom is nice and spacious with a hot bath tub and a rain shower. But I think the furnitures and fitting are getting really old and some of this fittings need to be upgraded. The mattress is not very comfortable and you can feel that it has been used for many years. The bath tub looks like there are stains and lots of scratches all over the tub and it makes you don’t feel like using it actually. For the price that you are charging I think you need to really refurbish your villas to ensure it is updated and the furniture and fittings look new and nice. At night I think the area is a bit dark and also I would prefer if maybe you can have some security guards to regular rounds around the place. Maybe because now the occupancy rate is not high at night we we walk to our villa it is a bit scary because from hotel entrance all the way to the villa, anyone can just go in and out. The lift do not even need the guest to swipe their card to go to that floor. So it can be dangerous if someone is hiding in some of the bushes and waiting for guest walking back to their villa. We don’t see anyone at all not a single staff at night. Your security need to be better I’m afraid. Our stay comes with the club lounge access and we were looking forward to see how’s your lounge but I must say we were really disappointed. I think this is probably the smallest club lounge we have been. It is surprising that for a 5 star hotel like yours have such a small club lounge. The evening cocktail there are not many choices of food . Everything about your lounge is not up to standard compare to other hotels that we stayed in. Again the price got charge for the club room is not cheap. To me it is definitely not value for money. Checking out experience wasn’t that good too either. When we check in, the lady told us that on the day when you went to check out can call them and they can send a car to take us out to the front entrance of the Sunway Resort hotel. But when we called the staff said there was no car available! So we have to walk to the Pavillion to check out and there are 2 cars parked near Pavillion! The most important thing when you are in the service industry is you need to make sure you do not promise your guest something that you cannot fulfill. If you tell us there is such a service then we expect to receive this service. Whether you have a car or no staff to drive us out that is a problem you need to resolve! Overall I do like the environment with the plants and trees and the concept of this place. But to me I think for the price that you are charging, your villas need to be updated, security at the villa have to be better and most important of all the service need to be much much better. Compared to the other hotels that we have stayed, you still have lots of improvement.
