My wife and myself booked a package via a travel agent including two nights (effectively 1 1/2 days, allowing for ferry trip), including ferry transfers, 3 meals a day and up to 3 free snorkeling trips (2 locations available). Not cheap, but very good value, certainly compared to other nearby resorts. The staff were extremely courteous and efficient, and the public facilities were excellent. Wifi is only available in the lobby, but the resort website makes that clear. Phone reception (and internet access via phone data) is excellent. The food (buffet style) was very good, without quite reaching 'excellent', with the dining room catering for around 500 or so guests at any one time (capacity is probably about 800). Food was principally Asian, which is understandable as that is obviously their target market - I saw very few fellow Caucasians during our stay. Book a package including meals, as the 'walk-in' cost is relatively expensive. We had a squirrel join us for breakfast, and they can be seen hopping around the coconut trees and building exterior. The resort is heavily focused on water activities, but has a number of additional activities available at reasonable cost (archery, ATV trek etc). This is the only resort or hotel (including several 5 star) that I have stayed in Malaysia which provides artificial sweetener for drinks (important for diabetics such as myself, and an indication of the level of thoughtful detail by management), and the (empty, as is usual in Malaysia) in-room mini-bar allowed the storage of my insulin, and the cooling of the usual complimentary bottled water. The room was large and very comfortable, in excellent condition and pristinely clean. Also unusal in my experience in Malaysia the (4) pillows were comfortable. Housekeeping was very accommodating when we requested our room be serviced while we were at breakfast (we were on honeymoon and didn't want to be disturbed). Hire of lifejacket and snorkeling equipment is not included in the room rate, but cost is reasonable if not included in the 'package'. The 'included' snorkeling trips don't include the 'Swimming with the Turtles' location. A Special trip can be booked for RM60 pp, but we opted to hire a private boat trip to the 'best spots' with SeaQuest (booked via the resort, I suggest you may wish to contact the company direct), rather than join what would have inevitably been a crowded boat trying to share whatever turtles may have been close to the boat. We had three turtles of our own, and a crew member who acted as our personal videographer using the Go-Pro style camera we hired from the resort for RM120. I highly recommend that company. An excellent (although hot) weekend.

“Good hotel”

Experienced logistics for hotel transfers. Comfortable, clean and spacious room. Great Asian buffet spread for all three main meals. Easily the best hotel on Long Beach.

“Average resort, but amazing beach”

Beach is amazing, but our room was 5 min walking from the main area. Food is not that great and mainly for chinese people. Staff was very polite and attentive, but when i rented out the snorkeling equipment i didn’t get it that i had to pay for it, not rent for free. Room service could be better, a… more

Beach is amazing, but our room was 5 min walking from the main area. Food is not that great and mainly for chinese people. Staff was very polite and attentive, but when i rented out the snorkeling equipment i didn’t get it that i had to pay for it, not rent for free. Room service could be better, and also water bottle should be free not for sale. I suggest stay only 2/3 nights, because the island is wonderfull.
