Our second time at the Awarli and the service has got even better, all staff are a credit to this hotel, the food in the buffet Restaraunt was very varied and of high quality for for a buffet Restaraunt, the Indian and infinity blue Restaurants was also excellent both in service and food quality. Location is great for exploring and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to visit the beautiful country of Mauritius.

“A RESORT WITH GREAT POTENTIAL”

I would give 3.5 star review if I could instead of just 3. So, This is a beautiful five star resort with great potential but which constantly lacks of good service. The service was inconsistent to say it all. We stayed there on I think what must be the busiest period through Christmas - New Year's Eve 2023 until January 2024. We felt this inconsistence as soon as we arrived. For example, The drummer at the main entrance welcomes us with a big smile and we are kindly guided to the reception for our check-in but then the girl who takes us through the check-in process has absolutely no smile and is a little bit curt... This kind of experience went on and on during our whole stay and all over the resort. We felt there was a complete contrast between staff who cares and others just simply don't want to be there and it transpires in the service. We know how some customers can sometimes be quite challenging and that it is a very busy time of the year, but let's not forget that it's a five star resort, shall we? A big thank you to Kalaivanee at the guest relation desk in the lobby for a big warm smile and who assisted us when we wanted to change room. It's a resort completely immersed in deep vegetation with big trees and beautiful gardens, several pools and a quite good slice of beautiful beach. Just mind the fairly strong current from east to west if you go for a dip or snorkeling in sea water just at the reef area in front of the beach, you can easily not realise that it transported you further down towards the Telfair resort beach or out...So, it's not dangerous but if you are not a good swimmer or snorkeling with children, be mindful of that. The food is really good in all restaurants including Savanna which is the main dining (and breakfast) venue. Golf players will love it, Nature lovers even more, Heritage Awali Golf and Spa Resort is located in the Telfair property including the neighbour Heritage Telfair Golf and Spa Resort, Heritage The Villas and the vast golf courses. So there is plenty of space to go for a walk and discover the stunning nature around and there is also a shuttle which drops you at key points throughout the Telfair property. Go up the hills and see the Chateau de Bel Ombre and gardens to start! We want to celebrate the staff who made our stay great and smooth. A big- big thank you and encouragement to continue their efforts and very good service to: Aki (serving in all restaurants) Mikhil (serving in Zenzibar and restaurants) Anne-Laure (Savanna breakfast time and Infinity Blue restaurant) Kolly (best mixer at the Zenzibar!)
