Patio view while having dinner was wonderful. David our waiter excelled at providing great service. Rafael (the manager?) showed us the way to the 4th floor restaurant. The hotel has been open for 5 weeks, so it is not yet busy. The food was delicious: lobster gorditas and shrimp empanadas.

We heard from a neighbor that Hotel Pueblo Bonito Vantage restaurants were open to the public. We have not seen any advertising at all so we were somewhat surprised. A group of 6 friends went to see the property and hopefully choose one of their restaurants to dine in. Well, we were all blown away by every aspect of our visit! From the moment we arrived to the security gate to the moment we left the property, between the kindness and enthusiasm of the staff to the beauty of the property and its unique location, we were wowed by every aspect. We were given a tour of the majority of the property by one of the restaurant managers and we ended up in Frida, the upscale Mexican inspired dining venue with a menu created by a Oaxacan chef and the corporate executive chef who was trained in the art of French cuisine. The warm and beautifully decorated dining room, set above Parque Zeferino, with unobstructed views towards the La Parroquia, was so inviting we had to choose this spot to chill and dine. They also have a private dining room for parties of 8-10 that can be reserved by request. Other than one single hotel guest, our party of 6 were the only customers that evening, which always lowers my expectations for a great experience, however, I must say, almost every aspect of the visit, the meal, the service, the hospitality and the atmosphere were spot on. The menu has plenty of variety to appeal to just about anyone. The staff was friendly, helpful and efficient and well trained working together as a team. One of my favorite touches was the simultaneous placement of all dishes together for the entire party, something I rarely see here in San Miguel. Without details for each meal, let me just say that all plates were left clean! Save room for dessert too! Overall, we felt the menu pricing was mostly very reasonable for the quality and the venue. I expect it will go up in the future. Also, opening soon is a rooftop outdoor lounge that should become very popular! The view is outstanding and I look forward to its opening. FYI, no elevator to the rooftop. There is valet parking at the front door past security. I can’t wait to go back to see more of the property. Incidentally, the artwork throughout the property was tastefully curated by Diego Noyola of Fábrica la Aurora’s Galería Noyola Fernández. I’m curious to see the hotel rooms, banquet facilities and the spa. I highly recommend a visit to see and explore this beautiful new property and try their restaurants for anything from a cup of coffee and an in house baked good (gorgeous cakes by the way), to breakfast or fine dining in a spectacular atmosphere at Frida.
