La Joya Hotel in Pachuca is a comfortable hotel near commercial establishments like restraurants, department stores and others. Woolworth's is right across the street, and there is a direct door from Sanborn to the hotel. Starbucks, Carl's Jr., McDonald's, and Chili's are 5 minutes away. The ladies at the reception area are very helpful. I requested to change rooms and it was granted immediately. I asked them to book a car for me to go to the hotel, and made efforts to get me a car with a good rate. The rooms are huge, clean, and regularly cleaned. They provide 2 bottles of water, the usual toiletries. An iron and board are stored the closet, and extra two pillows and blankets. However, they do not provide sleepers, so make sure you bring yours. Before I went, there were complaints against the breakfast menu. The breakfast includes coffee, 2 pieces of toast with butter and jam, your choice a bowl of fruit (which you can have with granola and yoghurt, poured on top) or fruit drink (orange juice or green juice). I always got the fruit bowl rather than the juice, because I think it is more substancial. For your mains, you can choose eggs, enchiladas, pancakes or waffles. I spent the first few days choosing the egg, but then I found that the enchiladas are great! Try it. The waiters do no speak English, but made it work. It's a simple hotel that works well for a business trip.

La ubicación muy conveniente con comercios y una variedad de restaurantes al rededor donde se puede llegar caminando. ——— Beds squeak a little and are very firm. Clean in general, only noticed dust in some corners and lamps. The treadmill in the gym turns off every 2 minutes after you start your workout. The gym equipment is old and some doesn’t work. Everything else was excellent and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our requests. Location was very convenient with stores and a good variety of restaurants around that were all walking distance.

Considering the other options available in the city of Pachuca I think spending a weekend with the family at this hotel was a good decision. Considering the other options available in the city of Pachuca I think spending a weekend with the family at this hotel was a good decision. The hotel itself is outdated, the breakfast offered by the hotel was a big disappointment and the front desk personnel was, although friendly, not very proactive or useful really when presented with a question or request. The good thing about this hotel is the "Samborn's" restaurant & shop that can be accessed thru the lobby as well as the movie theater and Starbucks location within walking distance. Downtown is reachable only by taxi from this hotel.

Good comfortable hotel located 15 min walk from the town centre with a small department store adjoining. Huge double bed with a firm, but comfortable mattress. There was a slight mix up with our booking but it was soon sorted out by a very helpful reception staff. Breakfast was included but the staff here proved to be the only disappointment as they were slow and one in particular, surly. Overall, l would be happy to return

Location: the location was nearby the train station (10 min walk) and relatively near the centro historico (20 min walk). Breakfast: the breakfast was awful ! You get the choice between fruit & juice (don’t choose the fruit as ‘the melon’ is as dry as hell). The coffee tastes bad. The ‘molletes’ were the worst Mexican food I had on my 3 week trip. Room & Bed: Very large room & bed. Very hard bed. Enough closet space. (good) coffee machine present. Bathroom: The bathroom / toilet are clean. Amenities present. Personnel: Very friendly staff. Speak English! Very helpful. 10/10! WiFi: Strong WiFi Overall: Considering the price I paid I would give the hotel a score of 7/10. Breakfast should be better!
