I’m going to divide my rating, it’s easier for me in that way. And don’t get me wrong, I enjoyed tremendously my stay in the hotel. It just needs some tiny twerks & it Good *The decor of the hotel is completely eclectic. At times it’s very minimalistic, with water running all around. And suddenly you find yourself in a 70’s kind of decor! At first I didn’t like it that much but it eventually grows on you until you find that the effect is quite charming. *The gardens and vegetation is great, well kept, intelligently designed, I mean, gorgeous! *The rooms (I stayed in room 111) are nice and comfortable. The amenities are very nice with a recycled vibe (ie, the drinkable water is in glass bottles. In fact, all the hotel has that cool vibe. There’s a very small flat screen and thankfully, a safe box. *There’s good free WIFI all around the hotel and rooms, not so good in the faraway grounds but this is obvious. *People with disabilities will have absolutely no problem moving around the hotel. I don’t know if the hotel offers wheelchairs but the hotel’s grounds and paths to and from rooms, pool, restaurants, etc have both stairs and not too steep ramps. Me being sick and in need of a cane, was happily surprised to see that my mobility issues were covered. *The restaurant has a buffet (breakfast) and a la carte options. The food is really good, quite tasty and fresh. *The pool has a fun design and it’s a nice space. It’s small but I don’t think this is bad. I loved it. *The staff is very nice and helpful so kudos on that. In particular Mr. Francisco Rodriguez. He went beyond his usual duties so yes, he should receive congratulations from management. *There’s a candies and “munchies” machine. The stuff is expensive but when in need.... I’d like to see, in the future, a drinks jar or maybe one of those complementary huge dispensers with cool water and sliced fruits. *About smoking, there are few places in which you’re not allowed to smoke. Since I do smoke, this is a plus for me. In example smoking isn’t allowed inside the rooms BUT you can in the balcony, which has two retro chairs and a small table. *Finally, especial events held in the hotel. As mentioned before, the gardens are gorgeous. I came here for a wedding and this one was held there. All is very nice and organized. The hotel even provides big golf-like carts to take you to and from the party, but you can also held the event in the restaurant. Very nice indeed. Be sure to ask a room with a balcony, it’s totally enjoyable! Bad *The mosquitoes are awful! I used to have a house close to Cuernavaca and you can’t keep the plague completely away, but with enough anti-mosquitoes fumigation, it could be bearable. *In the room, the place to hang up clothes is very high. I know I’m not a tall person (5.3 ft), but it was ridiculous. Also there are not enough hangers but I bet this can be solved by one of the many polite and serviceable staff members, in particular Francisco, who serves by the pool. *About the restaurant, the buffet breakfast is a bit expensive, the cost as of today is 350 pesos (around 20 dollars). But remember this... if you ask, sometimes you can get a deal with breakfast included. A la carte is not that expensive, the quality of the food is directly proportional to the price. The decor of the restaurant is very nice. The thing to criticize here is the floor, which looks as if it was unfinished. Some walls look like that as well. *Something that I really needed in my hotel room is a mini bar, the fridge. My insulin has to be very cold. The front desk suggested to leave it in the kitchen’s fridge but being such an important and delicate medication, I just didn’t dare. Fortunately the time of the month in which I came was mid-November and the weather is not that warm (if you come during this time of the year, be sure to bring a somewhat warm jacket), so I kept my insulin in the room. *My only big no-no was when the maid cleaned everything except the dirty glasses and the ashtray in the balcony. Such a small but important thing can make a four star hotel look not good. *Finally, a word of advise. The hotel is kinda isolated so there’s a feeling of not being completely safe while coming and going from the hotel (it’s about 20-30 mins from Cuernavaca). We never had the need to leave the hotel, but you might do. You can ask the front desk for advise.

The hotel is very nice and food is great. I was there for a wedding and in general the service is good. I was not happy with what happend after checking out. I was about drive to the exit when I was approached by the front desk personnel to tell me that two hand towels were stained with makeup (which is true, not too bad though) and that I had to pay for them. Since I was in a rush, I complied but this is outrageous. I have travelled all over the world and this rarely happens in pricey hotels, trust me. $370 MXN for 2 hand towels... this is a lot of money. Also I only had one coffee mug in my room and they were also telling the other one was missing, which I told them, yes, since I arrived.

“Nice but still short of excellent”

We had a wedding in this hotel, they make you stay at least two nights and the price is not cheap at all. Rooms and hotel in general are breathtaking but they are still short on customer service. They still leave an envelope for tipping the maid, on my point of view this cant happen in a 5 star hot… more

We had a wedding in this hotel, they make you stay at least two nights and the price is not cheap at all. Rooms and hotel in general are breathtaking but they are still short on customer service. They still leave an envelope for tipping the maid, on my point of view this cant happen in a 5 star hotel where you pay enough money for them to pay decent salaries. After renting all the hotel for the wedding the least I could expect is they gave you a late check out but this was not possible because there was a gay pool party on sunday.
